Question "Lord of the Rings" on Blu-ray anyone?

Does anyone think that the Lord of the Rings movies will hit Blu-ray sometime this year? Because if so, I hope that they choose to put the extended versions of all three movies on Blu-ray, but I think that they will also put the theatrical versions of them on the same disc in order to choose which one you want to watch. But I prefer the extended editions myself. What do you all think about this?

Nobody knows for sure, this has been discussed to death. I don't think they will be released this year... but one can always hope

I would think New Line would wait until blu ray reaches a critical mass of owners. Why release it to so few possible customers only to have it then become a catalog title. I bet it'll be a few years before we see those ones, although I hope i'm wrong
