One of those release schedules looks INFINITELY more appealing than the other.

our october 2nd through christmas titles are going to dominate hd-dvd. I don't see a week after the 2nd of october that will yield less than 70% for blu. the spidey, cars, ratatouille and pirates weeks should yield at least 80:20.

its a good thing for us Universal has only had 1 good movie all year.

Im pretty confident we'll post better numbers than HDDVD the week of Oct 9, even though thats when universal's 2nd most hyped excusive comes out.

Week of sept 25 could go either way.

I disagree with you on the 25th...

Everyone with Underworld Evolutions is going to get Underworld on BD, because their BD makes the first on on DVD look like crap

surf's up will quadruple evan almighty's sales. I think if ID4 was released that day it would beat evan almighty even though it's a catalog.

oh my bad. misunderstood...lets see: dimension is a subsidiary of the Weinstein company who just went neutral. (they'll also be releasing Tarantino's Grindhouse)

All titles up to the year the Weinstein's left Disney (two years ago??) are owned by Disney, I believe. When the Weinstein's left, they took the label, but not the catalogue of titles with them. Miramax and it's back (and future) catalog is owned by Disney too.

You start adding all this stuff up, and the Paramount defection doesn't count for much in the end.
