Oh. My. Goodness.

Personally LOVE the artwork. And to have all three? This is how I was thinking it should be released way back when CC first announced their release of the original.

Now, if we can only do something about getting Umbrella to make the ratings a removable sticker ... (sorry, but this is a perfect example of how visually abhorrent they are. YMMV.)

Brilliant job, Simon. I'm thinking I'll put mine in a black case.

What did you do to the OP LordCrumb, you edited it and made it appear as if there was only one version, the limited edition . It's now updated with both the standard and limited editions.

All I did was add in the BD code so it linked to the Database entry.

Frak all people update their OPs for releases, so I usually go in and atleast put a direct link to the Database.

Re-Added the Standard Edition, as I wasn't aware there was going to be one.

The database entry was for the standard edition, however I can see that someone edited the standard edition and changed it to the limited. I pre-ordered the standard edition a while ago and added it in my collection on this site, the info for it is now for the limited edition. I'm not sure why the person that edited it chose to do it that way, rather than simply adding a fresh entry for the limited edition.

I did that, my fault. As I mentioned, I didn't see anything about a standard version, just the Ltd Edition.

No worries mate, no big deal. I can see that there is a datebase entry for a local 58 version, we'll just change this to the 88 version, and it will be all sorted.

I've already re-created a regular edition.

I just noticed that you edited you post a few above and mentioned that.

The individual 58 version might need to be deleted then.

that's so you can add the individual movie BD code to the bundle ID's, then each disc is has the correct specs, you just don't add a release date.

I wasn't thinking about that, I had forgotten in the moment, I don't add much to the database these days (I don't pay a great amount of attention to it, because I've come across a lot incorrect info in the database over the years, I find searching threads for info, such as BDinfo scans, a better resource. A lot of members add anything to the database just to get the contributor points) so it slipped my mind.

The limited edition of this won't have the same international appeal as Night of the Living Dead, I think 1000-1500 copies might have been ample.

I pre-ordered the collector's edition since I don't have the Criterion of the original film. Really looking forward to this since I missed out on the TT version and had to settle for the disc to digital copy I got from Vudu to have an HD version.

Minor nitpick Si, but shouldn't it say "In 1958 & 1988 Terror HAD no shape"?

Any idea what this: Super 8 Footage of The Blob (1958) is? Just a super 8 version of the movie (why bother?) or some behind the scenes stuff or something else? It wasn't on the US Blob release

Probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyway.

I've never pre-ordered anything from overseas, outside of Amazon.uk. So how reliable is this JB Hi-Fi? I soo want to pre-order the special edition, but I'm not sure how they are, and if they send pre-orders to Canada just fine...

And if they charge now or when stuff ships.

You'll be alright. They charge when the order ships.

Just don't expect the same delivery times as other online retailers. Be patient.

Oh, I don't mind waiting, as long as I get it. Just don't want to get lost in the mix, especially with it being limited.

Thank you for the heads up. Pre-Ordering now.

God, I love these guys! Did I mention that...

JB Hifi is pretty much the major DVD/Blu Ray retailer in Australia... large, reputable, market leader... (also sell electronics and music). The only other worth checkjing out for Australian disks is EzyDVD, which is now a large online only store. Prices will often be matched between them though, so will depend on your postage price options...
http://www.ezydvd.com.au is the address. Nice to see us export for once - I so rarely buy local these days
