Watched the 1958 version last night. Loved it but was laughing my ass off as they were all running out of the cinema doors. They're supposed to be screaming but if you pause it and then do frame by frame you will see several people looking straight at the camera, another half a dozen p*****g their pants laughing hysterically as they're running and in a wide shot one girl get body slammed into the pavement smashing her head into the cement. Can't wait to see the 1988 version again.

Just put in an order. I was curious, does the limited edition version also have a reversible cover? Not sure if this has been covered. I looked but didn't see anything.

Yes, it was said a few posts back that it has a reversible cover with no ratings logo on it.

I uploaded both front and back of the reverse covers -- if you look at the page for the title on this site, they appear as "slip" and "slipback".

Normal edition cover (and Twilight Time cover) are ten times better.

That wasn't Jack Nance, he played the doctor in the clinic that they bring the hobo to.

I have a few pink cases, which other releases come in that I bought years ago. I thought I would try them out with The Blob limited and standard editions to see how they looked:

Damn that looks sweet. The second case is better, has a lighter shade and the embossed logo. I'll have to keep an eye out for a pink case too.

Probably easiest to just find a copy of Valentine's Day in a bargain bin somewhere.

Yeah I'm on the lookout now.. found one but it's $6 plus postage..

I can get a 10 pack from the UK for $NZ17 (plus postage to NZ via YouShop) if any other Kiwis would be interested in one or two.. They are not transparent cases, but they hold three discs.

.

Man, seeing those pink cases make me really wish we could've done it for the release, but unfortunately, t'was not to be.

Now hopefully I'll get my own copy soon - dying to sit down and watch them all.

Still haven't got your copy? Thought the people at Umbrella would have got first dibs!

Nah - we get our test samples, but the stock for an exclusive goes straight to the stores so the punters like yourself get it first.

Try this guy on Ebay. He sells blu-ray cases in all types of colors. I bought the pink case for the Twilight Time copy of The Blob.

Got my standard edition from JB's last Saturday for $9.98
I thought that was pretty cheap for a new release. Guess I got lucky and someone put the wrong price sticker on it lol - can't complain!

There was a bunch at JB in Perth, I just went for the lowest number which was 233. Would've been cool to get 1958 or 1988 though. :P
