No word on Chuck Season 2? How about Fringe?

What is HBO doing? I really want Sopranos and Rome.

I would kill to have ROME on Blu-Ray. I thought this series was a natural fit for a one season arc (the rise and fall of Julius). When I saw the logical progression into the second season, I thought again that it was a natural fit for a 3 season arc.

The 2nd season at points was rushed. I think season 2 could have been expanded to a 3rd season and have much more natural progression.

I think the change in Octavian was probably the most jarring for me.

Generation Kill also comes out June 16th. I would also put Chuck, Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Fringe on the undated list since those are going to be released. Has there been any info on HIMYM, My Name is Earl, or It's Always Sunny? I hadn't heard anything on these coming to Blu-ray, and no network has released a half-hour show on Blu-ray yet.

Edit: Digital Bits is also reporting a 7/28 release date for Dollhouse. It also reports an August release for Chuck, TSCC, and Fringe.

That was the plan, but word came down that season 2 would be the last. So the showrunners amped up the pace in order to complete the story. You're right that it's a bit jarring at points (particularly Octavian's rapid aging), but it all worked out in the end. The fall of Mark Antony was the logical place to end the series. Incredibly enjoyable show that I have to keep forcing myself to not buy on DVD. I want this on blu-ray ASAP!!!

In the meanwhile, I'll be all over John Adams. That was a great series.

Don't understand why Burn Notice is being released on June 16th when the new season starts June 4th.

csi, star trek, john adams, battlestar galactica, terminator (tscc) are already on my shopping list.

but where's: veronica mars, bones, ncis, stargate sg1-atlantis, dead like me, dark angel, highlander...and a lot of others great not so recent series

maybe it's just me but i'm always amazed by the fact that new series that nobody talk about (ex: lie to me) go to blu and great serie like the one i mentionned are still just in dvd. somebody has to explain that one to me.

I don't watch Lie to Me, but it averages over 12 million viewers a week. Most of the shows you mentioned were canceled due to low ratings. The assumption is if people watch it on TV they are more likely to buy it on Blu-ray. In addition Lie to Me might just be a placeholder, I haven't heard any rumors of it being released.

I am intrigued by this. I love well done historical stories, and with the reviews on this I am very interested. How is the replay value on this miniseries? Would you recommend a blind buy?

I'm already planning to pick up Dexter: Season 2 and CSI: Season 1 when they release. Then I'll be tapped out for May.

Doesn't Terminator: Sarah Conner Season 2 have a release date of 9/15?

Rome is one of my favorite series, and I want to see it on Blu! I have the DVDs, and have been wanting to sit down and watch the series again. I really like the potrayal of Caesar in the series, a more sympathetic character and more in tune with the historical Caesar (he was not a tyrant out to destroy the Roman Republic - his enemies did just fine doing that without him ).

Plus, the series will most likely look awesome on Blu

Man, that is awesome to see that How I Met Your Mother is coming to Blu

From that list, I'll be definitely getting Smallville S8, H.I.M.Y.M S4, Weeds S4 and possibly Lie To Me because the show looked cool and I'm interested watching it so why not in HD

I'd like to see ABC's Day Break make it to Blu-Ray. This series screams for a lossless audio track and HD video track.

If you enjoy well done historical stories, then by all means give John Adams a go. I'd say it's worth a blind buy, particularly if you're interested in that part of history. I can't really comment on the replay value as I've only seen it once back when it first aired on HBO. That said, I'm interested in watching it again, and this blu-ray release is the perfect way to do so IMO.
