Thanks for sharing that. Plenty of similarities with regard to nostalgia and rare titles. not available elsewhere. It's so true that you can find some real gems on your OLD recorded VHS tapes if you find some commercials. I did plenty of recording back in the day but most of the tapes got wrecked by sitting in the basement. You can see mold in the little I tossed many of them. Mold on your LD? Just wipe it off!

I'm pretty sure LD had more titles vs what was available on VHS. McIntosh sure as hell never made a VHS player...

I have a feeling the author never owned a Laserdisc player..

Not even close, and the biggest reason is simply the fact that VHS was far more accessible from both production and consumer persective, and had a larger market; your ridiculous niche content was far more likely to turn in a profit on VHS.

There may be a lot of content that has not left the realm of Laserdisc, but there is far, far more content that has not left the realm of VHS.
