Congrats, dispute what others may say, this one-sheet final style for Episode 7 is insanely rare, and quite valuable if you are lucky to find one in near-mint/mint condition. If you frame it, don't dry mount it, and don't use cardboard backing, go with a professional framer and have it loose between the glass and the backing of the frame, go with an acid-free backing too, anything else will cause yellowing later on down the road.

Thanks for the heads up , but is a theater edition it goes on a light fixture..I threw two pictures of it ..One pic is front and the other is back...One pic has the Star Wars backwards..I used to work as a manger in a movie theater in NYC 15 years ago and actually owned Episode 1 2 3 theater posters but i still have them in tubes cause i dont have space to display them...

I had over 100 of each prequel style at that time, but most have sold, wish I still had more of the first two prequel films, as I am well stocked on Sith. I don't recommend storing posters in the same tube for as long as you have, cardboard is extremely acidic and breaks down over the years and can cause staining. At the very least I would remove them from the tube they have been in and put them in a new tube. |

A lightbox is a nice option as well, but those can run just as expensive or even more than a professional frame job. Regarding storage, cardboard over long term can cause staining, it takes a long time, but it does happen. How you store them also with regards to temperature, etc has an impact too. Keep the tube in a cool dry place, dont have it sitting by a heater vent or in the sunlight, etc. |

What a bummer ....Found an Episode 1 Teaser , X MEN , Private Ryan ,Chocolat , Titan AE , Scary Movie , Digimon and Pokemon....But No Episode 3 Poster.....Im going to decide which ones i want to frame and maybe get rid of the rest....Thanks for the information maybe I"ll just do the Star Wars posters being that those were never display in a lightbox enclosure in the theater i work back then....The others I took from display so they have there nicks and nacks but still very cool looking posters....

In terms of buying the Force Awakens poster (or any rare posters), will the price likely continue to go up or might it drop over time? Not sure if it's best to buy one ASAP or if waiting a while for the hype to go down usually yields lower prices.

Well just check ebay, they are flooded with them. I'm sure DMR had hundreds of them and that's helping driving the price down a bit.

Sure, as Underworld said, you can look at eBay and see the prices for the Episode 7 final style poster, but ultimately that really only applies to those people who turn to eBay for their posters. Reality speaking, a mint condition final style with no tears that is clean and crease free can fetch $250+. I personally have already sold some in that condition to my customers because there are collectors who are quite passionate about their collection and want the best of the best when it comes to condition. Most, if not all, of the "original" Episode 7 posters on eBay came from either theaters or the DMR website. With the DMR site still packaging their posters up poorly, some sellers may disclose that on their auctions, some may not. Some may not even think its worth disclosing, and that can cause probelms. My advice for anyone who goes the eBay route is to ask the sellers questions and any seller who won't respond in detail don't give your business to. Also make sure they are using actual images of the posters, and not simply a stock image showing a mint condition poster. My idea of "near-mint/mint" and another person's idea of it are probably way off, and I have seen thousands upon thousands of posters in the 25 years I have been in this hobby. Value-wise, you won't see the Episode 7 posters coming down in price. Some may debate that, but again, the reality is, the prices will remain high and continue to head north in terms of collectibility and price. For those who managed to get a near-mint/mint one through DMR, you are sitting on a very nice poster, as most were damaged in transit, and generally much of the time, theater posters don't usually arrive in near-mint/mint condition to begin with. As you have less of something in high grade condition, prices go up as they are rarer to find. It's like that for any collectible, comic books, baseball cards, Magic the Gathering cards, and even movie posters. |

Certainly not my intention to make anyone feel bad just being as honest as I can because in the poster industry, there can be a lot of dishonesty and misinformation put out there.

No I know. Appreciate your honesty. I want to get one off eBay so you've helped point out things I should look for
