http://www.michaels.com/s/MichaelsUS...ctsource=PDPZ1 I have bought two of these in 24x36 and am very happy with the quality considering the price. I usually buy all high quality custom frames so I have zero tolerance for junk which I have found many of the other low priced options out there to be. They also have several other color ways then the two I posted. They are also currently on sale for only 20 which is what I paid for them a few months back. They go off and on sale quite frequently. One thing I will suggest about any frames from Michaels is getting them from a physical store if possible so you can inspect it and make sure it is in good shape. |

Is there any big shop that sells glass frames that size? I have a few of those black-edged frames but that plastic or whatever the covering is for the poster....it is pretty lax and doesn't really keep things firmly in place. I ended up using them for lesser value posters I'd had for my son's room.

Depends on what someone is collecting. Modern movie posters tend to be 27x40.
I chatted with one of the framers at my local Michael's and he really has made me think about my movie posters. Having them custom-done would be pretty $$$ and they don't use glass due to weight and how brittle it could be. They use an acrylic, which he said really increases the price. He actually recommended me getting the sort of frames being discussed here. Swore that I did once and they seemed pretty flimsy...am I wrong? |

These are the ones I always get
https://www.target.com/p/profile-pos...05#lnk=sametab I mean they aren't the best, but they're better than Michaels and get the job done. ![]() |

One sheets run 27" x 41"- are people trimming them to fit in these 27" x 40" frames? Or is 40" just the inner dimension that's visible?
I would be just fine with any of these, simply to keep the posters flat and relatively protected- but I always thought one-sheets needed custom framing because of that extra inch. |
