Are there any reviews or screenshots from their Dersu Uzala Blu-Ray? It's gotta be better than the Artificial Eye DVD, right?

For those in the U.S., the October releases are in stock at DiabolikDVD and Orbit DVD.

I have it, I'll be backing it up in the next week or so, but I'm not sure what the best way is to do screenshots. Apparently VLC does weird color things, and I have no idea how to match exact frames of screenshots from other discs.

I got a shipping notification from Diabolik this morning for Testament and Pretty Baby. Dersu Uzala and Lolita are already in-hand (ordered from DD). Imprint is taking over physical media for me while Arrow and many others focus on martial arts.

Thanks. I assumed that they were all the same release date and would ship in a batch. As it is then I'll wait until the last release comes out.

So TESTAMENT, in typical Via Vision style, is the exact same source as the old DVD, which means it’s old, weathered, with print marks and gate weave a’plenty, but what it does do is resolve the rather plentiful and nice-looking grain field far more precisely so everything now looks far more organic and like an actual projected film print.

I figured it would be the same old master, but still worth having it in true HD. Definitely picking this one up. Vastly underrated film.

Re: Essential Film Noir Collection Vol. 3 -
Wasn’t this just recently released? Why is it already out of stock everywhere and expensive where available ?

Because "film noir" slapped on anything will sell.

I'm looking at the latest wave of releases from Imprint and I feel like I missed a month's worth of titles - what were spine numbers 163 to 169?

The yet-to-be-released Walter Hill collection.

When will the next batch of titles be announced? I eagerly anticipate each month's announcements.

I'm sure I saw a post by a fellow poster in here during the past two-three weeks that Via Vision are taking a month off with regards to Imprint announcements (with it being towards the end of the year?). I've been checking Via Vision's website in the hope that some older Universal TV series might be released in the next few months.

At least 3 of these are great and the one is decent, and they're all pretty legit noir. Unlike Kino's noir sets that are hardly noir (not trying to knock Kino— I own most of the sets, enjoy most of them and plan on getting all of them).

I'm just glad to finally have The Desperate Hours and No Man Of Her Own on Blu-ray. Great, great films.

It’s hard to believe we’re already up to our 200th release, but this Friday we’ll be revealing our February release slate – which covers Imprint Collection #198 - #203! (Is it too early to say "happy new year" in November??)

Alpine assailants, amorous alcoholics, unseasoned unification, comic competition, belligerent bigotry, and reverent rehabilitation.

Six brand-new limited editions, three worldwide firsts to Blu-ray. Strictly limited to 1500 copies each.

Ordered some titles from Imprint 10 days ago, just had an email saying they’re yet to be dispatched, but will be this week… seems like far too long a turnaround - this normal?
