If they felt the need to email you about it, it's fair to say it's abnormal, but it's not like they're ignoring your order.

Hurry Sundown for me and maybe Resurrection for the extras as I already have the US release and the film is a favourite of mine.

I'm so in for Something To Live For and Carrie— two beautiful 50s Hollywood dramas from two of the greatest directors of all time

Mildly curious about Something To Live For. I love Milland and Fontaine, but I want to know if Kino is getting this. It looks like a title they'd scoop up.

It’s a great film and I don’t think it’s available to Kino. Olive released the DVD, which is still in print, so I think they have the rights right now, just like No Man Of Her Own.

I forgot all about that DVD. Kino has been releasing some Twilight Time titles but they look to be all MGM licenses so far. We need Olive's death grip on these Paramount titles to END

To be honest, I think most of the Paramount titles, with the exception of the huge ones like High Noon or The Quiet Man, wouldn’t get picked up by Kino any time soon. Maybe some of the noir titles. The acquisitions guy for Kino said the majority of the Republic titles that he licensed from both companies he said he wouldn’t do today. The Olive releases may be the best we get for the foreseeable future in the US.

I realize it hasn't released yet, but are there any reviews/opinions on the Roland Joffe box set yet? I'm particularly interested in whether The Mission has any video/audio improvements or if I should just wait for a 4K instead.

I'm looking to order Testament in the US. DiabolikDVD is sold out, it seems.

Amazon lists it sold by DaaVeeDee, while Deep Discount also has it for about the same price.

Can any Americans tell me whether DaaVeeDee or Deep Discount usually packs items better?

Try orbitdvd or Grindhouse video- they both package everything super super well with bubblewrap. Think of them both as similar online shops as Diabolik.

Diabolik must have just got their restocking in as it's showing 4 available right now.
