Default Testing whether codes have been redeemed?

I've got a stack of codes that I can't recall whether I've redeemed or sold; is there any way to test them so I don't sell invalid codes and have to refund the purchases? Thanks!

Easy at moviesanywhere. Just SIGN OUT and enter the code. Other places are harder and risk redemption.

On vudu you only have to sign out also.

UMMMM

So you are unsure if you redeemed or SOLD? check PM's and emails - honestly do not resell if you are unsure.

Many people hold 4k codes until release or wait for itunes to be added etc.
If it were me i would not touch them and assume i sold them

On any system, whether MA or Vudu:
make SURE you are logged OFF/OUT. Otherwise you risk redeeming (burning) the code.

For MA codes use MA to test, for UV or non-MA/non-UV use Vudu.

1. put in the code (logged OFF).
2. if the system asks for a log-in, code is good
3. if the MA system says "redeemed" (MA), it's used
4. if the Vudu system says "invalid", code is either used or you have a typo
5. Some codes ONLY work in Vudu or only in MA. For example Universal, check both MA and Vudu (might be valid in one but not the other)
6. advantage to MA test is that the code is identified by quality, e.g. 4K, HD, or SD
7. FandandoNow (FN) works the same as Vudu, if you really want to test there
8. iTunes is hard to test unless you have the older version still, which has a test function (I don't have iTunes, so not sure how that old version works)

Codes don't usually expire, unless they're the very oldest codes. Universal codes used to expire and be renewed, Universal has let some of their older codes actually expire. You can find out that by using universalhidef.com, it will tell you if the Universal code is expired or not (site is not good for testing, just the expiration thing).

I would also say that's something you should cross check, for exactly the reasons he brings up.

Lionsgate - test at movieredeem.com, just don't select a provider
Universal - test at uphe.com/redeem/ (logged out)

iTunes redemptions are troublesome to test and I just offer refunds if the codes fail to redeem (honor system).

Some Sellers send you the Code first, then if you are satisfied you pay the asking price. I think this is a good way, because for some reason or another sometimes they don't work. Then you have to go through the Refund, this way you pay after you are satisfied.

I had some old Universal codes that were getting denied because of expiration. The other day I decided to try redeeming them in iTunes, and they all redeemed without an issue!

Yes, I forgot that part, those Universal codes will redeem directly in iTunes, but otherwise show as "expired". A few expired Universal will not work at iTunes (or at MA) but will work on Vudu.
