For the amount that certain types of people like to use the word 'snowflakes' it's impressive how message boards are littered with their salty tears to the point that I open a Shazam thread to read about the 3D theatrical quality and am met with... a discussion of the merits of casting decisions and race in... an entirely different movie.

Third time watching Shazam!, I went to see it with a friend who wanted to see it in 3D the first Tuesday after it came out.

And it looked good, which bodes well for the home video release. They took their time post converting it -- and I think another 3D company did it instead of Stereo-D or Gener8 3D. (It was DNeg.)

I think the topic has some merits but the Shazam 3D thread is certainly not the place for the discussion.

I caught a 2D showing a week back and if my schedule lines up with a 3D showing this week I'll check out the 3D My local theater's 3D has never impressed me so I might take a drive farther out. Shazam was handsdown the best DC film I've seen in quite awhile.

At least this is WB, so we can be fairly confident this will get a domestic 3DBD release. Why WB is hanging on while so many others have dropped out I don't know, but I appreciate their perseverance.

Good to hear a few more positive reviews of Shazam's 3D. Hopefully it should at least be decent on home video, if not up to Aquaman standards. The initial reports were bad, but then in the Alita thread someone said the 3D was awful and it turned out it was almost certainly a problem with their cinema!

Taking my grandkids to see it Tuesday, which happens to be the last 3D showing. We will have a great time.

Good to see this is being offered in 3D, if the 3D is worthwhile. DC has been inconsistent with their 3D standards so far.

The trailer is entertaining for this style of over the top character.
well im sorry but he isnt but I think he would make an excellent comic book hero....but I cant think of what he could be....maybe the thing from fantastic four

I found the 3D frustrating. Considering how limited we are with 3D releases these days, the fact the 3D was underwhelming for the most part was a major disappointment. I forgot it was in 3D for large chunks of the film.

I enjoyed the film though.

Film 3.5/5
3D 2/5

Waiting on the (hopefully) Best Buy version with slip to match the other DC 3D releases. Fingers crossed.

FYI that will also include the soundtrack (or most of it) on CD (4 discs).

+ the product page title is "Shazam ! Steelbook Edition Spéciale Fnac Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD, Inclus le Blu-ray 2D, le Blu-ray 3D et la bande originale du film (Visuel provisoire)"

+ it's the same content as previous Warner France DC Fnac exclusives (Aquaman, Justice League, Wonder Woman...)

OK thanks. For some reason not showing on my tablet - but it does in the search list though.

Fortunately fnac ship to australia, but I think shipping high!

Any other 3d/4k ones to grab to make it worthwhile?
