Best Buy General Deals Thread

Since weekly Best Buy threads are scarce these days - and since I (and many others) miss Tyrok’s weekly “in stores” posts to know what will actually be on the shelves - I’m finally pulling the trigger and creating a general BB thread to discuss new releases, sale prices, new shippers, new endcaps, resets, etc.

Thanks Tyrok. I haven’t been able to preorder Shutter Island for pickup as Shipping has been the only option I’ve seen for so long. I should be able to order Monday night now for pickup Tuesday.

UPDATE: Yep I preordered late Monday night. Just need to pop on over to pick it up along with FvF steelbook.

I also see that BB now has Scream Factory’s “The Omen Collection” for $59.99 in their Movie Collections section.

I hope one of the local stores near me stocks it.

I've found it in-store at Target but every copy looks like a dog chewed on it.

At my store it was located right next to the Fox set marked at $9.99. I wonder which set a casual shopper would pick up?

I hope this bodes well for Scream Factory titles coming back to Best Buy.

The Best Buy website doesn't even have an online listing for Silent Hill. Are you sure that one is going to show up in store? I'm surprised by Silver Bullet but it does have an online listing at least to confirm that they will be carrying it.

At 11:30 am yesterday my local BB was out of Swamp Thing. I asked an employee to check if they were sold out, or had more somewhere else and she confirmed that they had sold out.

She did say that there was a way to order it to pick up in-store, but had to help someone else. After checking the site I don't see anything like that though? Only shipping for $3.99.

She probably just didn't know that's not possible with movies. You can only do pickup with what is available already.

By far the cheapest Superman: The Movie UHD has ever hit. In fact, that disc has been tough to even find at retailers for months.
