Default encryption on USB flash drive?

Say I got a folder of a hand full of pictures & videos that i keep on my 2GB USB flash drive. is there a way to encrypt the stuff? so if it falls into the wrong hands they cant access the stuff?

Any advice?

You could zip/rar everything up and secure it with a password prior to backing up to the flash-drive

In addition to the last suggestion of placing files in a ZIP/RAR format, there are software programs (such as TrueCrypt) that offer real-time (i.e. on-the-fly) encryption. With on-the-fly encryption, data is encrypted or decrypted automatically before it is saved or loaded, without the need for user intervention.
