The real one that puzzles me is the Phantasm collection being part of the display. Everything else there is Universal/Warner/MGM which are all under the same distribution house now (SDS). I'm not aware of Well Go USA being part of SDS, and the only other reason I can think of is because Universal owns the second film in the series. |

Lionsgate don't actually have the rights to the original, 4, and 5 anymore. They've since reverted back to Trancas International Films. The rights to Curse are actually owned by Miramax (alongside H20 and Resurrection). You're correct on II and III.

Well, the Walmart nearest me didn't have much, either. But, I was able to snag a copy of the Jeepers Creepers 2-Pack that has the first two films for $9.99. Nice surprise. Haven't seen the third one and I probably never will. Just can't justify spending $10 on a "edited for home video" version of the movie. Battlefield Earth is the same way. How do you only sell a version of the movie and edit it for home video?

No idea if this has been brought up at some point, but that Alien 6-Film collection that's pictured is actually ringing up as $24.96 in store and on the website.
Was available for pick-up at my local store, but I'm glad I went in - of the six copies, four did not have the slip box (they had the new Disney design with the silver bar on the top and bottom of the front cover). The two in the back came with the original slip box (not at all necessary, but a cool addition). Oddly enough, the case under the slip box was also the Disney case design - I was assuming it was just old Fox stock before opening. Discs all had artwork though - this was a nice surprise, as I assumed most Disney blu re-releases used plain blue disc artwork for the updated copies (the Die Hard set being a prominent example). The digital copies still do pretty well on the forum as well - I was able to get $10 for the lot, dropping the price of the set down to about $15 out of pocket. Popped my 4k 40th Anniversary Edition of Alien in the spot of the regular blu, and now I'm good to go! I'm assuming most people that want the Alien films on blu ray have them by now, but maybe there are a few stragglers like me that this post can help ![]() |

I’m so tempted to pick that up (it would be a blind buy). I was going to wait for the VS BF sale, but it probably won’t be a part of it. Hopefully it will still be available for the halfway sale next year.

Each time i go into WM. l For whatever reason. I don't know why I look in the movie section. as it looks like a ghost town most of the time.
the glass cases are half empty all the time with stuff not put in their place. As well as other empty spots where the new releases are suppose to be. and the releases on the side. I don't know why I would think anyone would ever put anything in their spots. and actually do their damn jobs. Cause god forbid they do their jobs they are being paid to do. ![]() Walmart and catching up target are disappointing every time i visit. making it harder and harder to want to buy anything in stores. There are still blu bins around the States? They got rid of them out here, but ended up tossing some blus in the DVD bin. It's like 99% DVDs.

With the increase in downsizing of the physical media section, I'm really going to miss the good old days of Black Friday shopping at Walmart stores. The times when we could grab copies off the shelves (because there were decent amount) early Thursday morning at BF prices instead of waiting till 5 PM. The times when 3D blu-ray section used to exist and would also ring up as the standard blu-ray price. The pandemic definitely killed off the slowly dying process much too soon. I've seen someone report in another thread that there is chance that Target won't have ANY blu-ray/DVD containers in store for BF this year
