Hope that helps.
I take more exception with the terminology than I do the principle. Associating the word "masculine" with "toxic" just seems to suggest that males are fundamentally toxic.

And "toxic" has become such a buzz word that it puts my hair on end every time I hear or read it now. But that's my problem.

I also know what you mean about the female threads getting a lot of hate. In the case of the films, I can understand that some of them are probably just disliking those films because they're poorly written and occasionally political hit pieces, but some guys are probably more nefarious with their intentions there.

The "appreciation" threads for female stars are absolutely indefensible though. A bunch of wolves drooling over actresses half their age every single day is just gross. I've started a few appreciation threads for male actors and they sink like a stone. Few want to talk about their acting, or post scantily clad pictures of them.

Looks are a pretty stupid and petty thing to complain about for anyone doing music or film. It's art, not a modelling agency.

Pretty great documentary. Didn't think I would enjoy it so much. The range of relatable emotions, the intimate moments behind the curtain and the process of making her debut album in her brother's bedroom etc. was intriguing from the beginning to the end. 4,5/5

Nice post - but the bolded part is weak. C'mon, pretty girls are pretty girls. Straight men like looking at them. No one died here and its the opposite of gross. They're beautiful. They are NON-gross. Those appreciation threads arent really about acting anyways. Its to celebrate the beauty of the ladies that are in any films and shows we watch. Clearly they dont mind posing for said pictures so I guess its OK, right? .

Thats said.... girls....girls.... YUM!

I liked the Worlds a Little Blurry but it didn't have to be 2:20. I found the first half of the film better.
