Even if it's unfinished, it could be released at some point like the Donner cut of Superman II. It's the same studio, the same characters, the same production problems, and the two versions are remarkably different films. It's not as unreasonable as you're making it out to be.
Exactly, I find it downright bizarre that some people are getting all huffy and saying things like “fans need to grow up” and “do you people not understand how movies are made!?” when speaking to fans asking for a Snyder Cut of Justice League.

Are these folks not aware that numerous underperforming films have been revisited for director’s cuts by their production studios? This includes Warner Bros. allowing Oliver Stone to go back to the editing bay three different times after the theatrical release of Alexander completely tanked. That film is reviled more than it’s appreciated, and it has seen four distinct versions spread across numerous home video releases, all put out by Warner Bros., the same studio behind Justice League.

All the Alexander cuts didn’t cost 50 million plus. Which is a conservative estimate to how much completing a Snyder cut would cost WB.

According to whom? No one officially involved with the film has spoken out about what was left out of the film, or what exactly is required to complete it. ADR, motion capture, VFX rendering, and editing was all being worked on in the six months between the close of principal photography and Snyder’s departure. It may not be entirely finished, but it hardly seems to be a bunch of raw footage either.

What happened to all the scenes that we saw in the trailers but not in the theatrical release? Where are those scenes?

Somewhere in a Warner Bros. server room, probably never to be seen again. Unless we end up with a Superman II situation where Snyder comes back to it in like 20 years and finishes his cut of the film, but that's very unlikely.

While there isn't anything really new there, you can see that steppenwolf looked quite different originally. Mostly the same way he looked at the end of BvS. I prefer that look. I would also assume that WB decided to change him to a more humanoid look once Zack left. It explains why his CGI face looks unfinished

Wonder Woman fails at stopping the terrorists bombs (or something like that) ( 2 or 3 of the trailers you see the building blowing up)

Superman fighting the Justice League is longer( Cyborg blocks a tank in first trailer )

Superman return to Alfred

Justice League at Star Labs

Batwing on the ground, Batmobile pops out blue sky( in movie, the Batwing crashes as Batmobile comes out with red sky.)

Flash & Cyborg scenes not in the movie.

Final Battle fight being different with sky being blue, not red. Joss Whedon add the Russian family

Note:
Almost all Superman scenes were reshot by Joss Whedon, so the final fight with Steppenwolf was definitely different in Zack Snyder cut.
Joss Whedon did say he cut out Darkseid from the movie early when he took over, after WB had announced he took over from Zack Snyder
Steppenwolf loses by fear & attacked by the demons (rumors say it was not in the Zack Snyder cut) Joss Whedon added the demons being drawn to fear which were never in the comics or cartoons.

Those are just some.

Then again, I don't really view TDK as a 'comic book/superhero' movie. It's more political drama with Batman characters to appeal to a wider audience.
TDK is a crime drama. Winter Solider would be the political drama.

I'm glad that Target is using that cover art. The other covers are very boring.

I promised myself I wouldn't buy a physical copy of the film until/unless the studio released a Snyder cut (or at least extended one), I might have to break that promise now. I only wish it was 4K too.
