The one that you posted is just the regular version, that will be sold stand alone / later.

First Print edition seems to contain a physical disc, because otherwise including a steelbook w/ space for TWO discs wouldn't make any sense.

Maybe I should buy 2 copies, I have a feeling that this will get quite expensive after a while.

For some consoles only. Wii U never got a physical release (in Europe that is). PS3 got one, although that version is horribly broken.
And Europe got shafted anyway, because they never released the last patch in Europe.

It's not the first time Nintendo sells a download code inside a retail box. Tipping Stars for the Wii U + 3DS was sold like that too. At least you got codes for both platforms, so you got the game for both platforms or well you could simply sell the second code/give it away/etc.

They do that for retail *shrugs* What are they supposed to do? Retail wants cases. Pressing discs doesn't seem worth it.
Anyone can buy it digitally anyway.

I mean it's not like a big game like for example Yakuza 5, where physical discs would make sense. And ...wait... Yakuza 5... Damn you Sega.

You're actually right, Jimmy. Nintendo of UK states on the comment section of YouTube that both games on the Special Edition bundle are discs so now it all makes sense.

Why only two? Buy three!

Pretty Pumped for this. So am I reading correct that the normal retail version will just contain a code for dl?

No big deal for me either way. Just different. I missed out on the Gamecube generation of Nintendo in general. Star Fax 64 was one of me favorite games on that console.

I love Star Fax 64 for the Gamecube! It's much better than Star Fox 64 for the Nintendo 64.

The "normal retail version" of Starfox Zero will be a disc. The "normal retail version" of Starfox Guard will be a code in a case.

The GameCube controller also helped it a lot than that weird alien-y "\|/" 64 controller.

No steelbook case? $60 price?

I'm not too bothered about the steelbook case or Project Guar-- I mean, Star Fox Guard. It looks like a budget eShop game reskinned as a Star Fox game.

Sometimes they advertise steel books for games a few weeks before launch (it's also going to be $70-75 here). Guard seems like a decent diversion, but it's hardly essential as you said. The key is Star Fox Zero and it's multiple branching and singe session play through gameplay.

More proof that people will ***** about absolutely anything. Miyamoto added an invincibility mode and people, of course, lost their shit.

I've been watching more videos and from what I've seen at least, the motion aiming isn't too bad (at least from one particular video I saw). It seemed more like the Gamepad was tilted slightly to aim and not held up at your face and spun around like I had thoughts of. Can anybody confirm?

Yeah, absolutely silly.
It's optional. And it's Nintendo's way of helping out less skilled players. Without doing something like that, there would simply be no way of them making for example Donkey Kong Country Returns so difficult. Other companies dumb whole games down to appeal to a larger market and THAT is actually a major problem.

In the same tweet Miyamoto even mentioned another mode, that is actually more difficult.

So much like in Mario 3D World. Big deal.

Got the First Print on pre-order for 60 EUR.
Which includes Star Fox Zero, Star Fox Guard + Steelbook.

Hopefully amazon France will drop it to 50 EUR, as they pretty often always do.

I even got the Project Zero 5 Limited Edition for < 50 EUR. Xenoblade Chronicles Limited Edition for around 50 EUR as well. Spent way more on the Japanese Hyrule Legends Treasure Box, but that one was totally worth it. No idea why Ninty never releases those massive editions in Europe.

Seems like this and Fire Emblem Fates will be in extremely limited supply. Glad I preordered both.

The first edition, sure. I don't see why the regular would be limited though.

Of course. The regular edition will be readily available, but the limited editions seem to really be just that, very limited.
