Never finished it, so will pick it up, I'm assuming there's an amiibo-less version?

Pretty sure about that. Japan has both:

I'm definitely going to pre-order the game when the right time comes and I'm hoping the European cover will be exactly the same as the Japanese one because I just love the NGC artwork so much!

That Amiibo is beautiful! One of the most detailed Amiibo's I've seen yet!

Pre-ordered the Limited Edition mins ago from Amazon Germany but god damn the European cover will be the same as the one from America. I really wanted the Japanese/tweaked original cover.

Just get you some high gloss printer paper and print out your own cover. I do that all the time. If you don't have access to a quality printer go to a Kinko's or Staples.

I would have liked to see Nintendo simultaneously release this with a 3DS version.

Has anyone been able to preorder this from amazon in the US. I'm not sure if it's sold out or they didn't start taking orders. It's been showing currently unavailable since yesterday but also shows as a best seller.

Graphics are a little underwhelming.

Indeed they are but it's a work in progress so hopefully they'll make the visuals much much better. Especially Wolf Link whom looks very unsatisfying (no fur?!).

When Reggie said 'but it's not just a visual upgrade' (or something to that effect) I was hoping he'd elaborate more, but he just announced the amiibo support, hopefully there are upgrades to the game, I'd be happy with a shorter tutorial, if I remember correctly it took me hours for the game to start

lol I think at this point fans care about amiibos more than the actual games, and sadly Nintendo knows that

It's an up rezed port of a Gamecube game that's being released to satisfy Zelda fans until the proper Wii U (and presumably NX) Zelda is released. I didn't really expect much out of it. I never played it the first time through so I'm looking forward to it.

Unfortunately that's the truth.

While TPHD won't have the same awesome treatment WWHD did, I still hope they'll do right by TP and make it as good as they can.

I think it means the usual "tweaks" they do when re-releasing games like control tweaks and small additions like stamps and Miiverse. There's a lot of talk questioning if the map is from the Gamecube or Wii version and if they're going to have the motion controls or not.

It's not mirrored so you have your answer but it may have motion controls if they so wish to include them.
