Will support Wiimote + Nunchuk as well.

Horray.

That's how it should be done always.

Maybe they will mirror the game in case that control scheme is used? o_O I really wonder how it will work out.

Got tired of waiting for Amazon and BB to put up another preorder and Gamestop wouldn't apply free S&H to preorders so I ordered through B&H. I've never ordered from them but they seem like a reputable company plus they offered free shipping and no tax. Only wish I could get the bundle with the hardcover guide. I have the older guide that came in the chest but this one looks updated.

I think they updated this on the a Nintendo site, I forgot what country it was I think France but they removed the part about the Wii remote controls.

People actually prefer playing games in a wii remote/nunchuk over the Gamepad or Wii U pro controller?!

I would really like to have confirmation that it is compatible with the pro controller as well. I won't get it if it is not...

So happy that Europe's getting the original Japanese Wii U / GameCube cover:

Oh god they're actually including Wiimote + Nunchuk but thankfully it's entirely optional. Phew.

I'd have cancelled my pre-order but clearly they're using the original GameCube version so that means it'll have the intended way to play (traditional controls) and it isn't mirrored.

Question for Americans and Canadians:

Will the Soundtrack CD and Amiibo be in high demand over there or not?

This is why I still don't yet own a Wii U, every Zelda game released for it so far has been an HD port of a previously released title. No new Zelda = no purchase.

(And don't say Hyrule Warriors, it's just Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda skin on it)

Well, Ninty's releasing two Zelda games within one year for Wii U owners is a pretty good bargain.

P.S. If you still don't have a Wii U then don't bother with it. Just wait for the NX.

I dunno about soundtracks but Amiibos seem to be fairly big in the U.S. While the Nintendo section in stores is really pathetic in the U.S. there are a ton of Amiibos for sale everywhere I look. They seem like a nice collectible but they're just too big and bulky for me to collect.

It's more accurate to call it Special Edition since it'll be available everywhere and pre-orders haven't run out of stock.

Not sure when it started, but I always seem to refer to these sort of sets (Game, figure, art book and the sort) as Limited Edition, so I guess to put it properly -

My Special Edition is out for delivery today

Sounds even better that way.

I really hope that the in-game visuals look better than what's going around the internet but won't get my hopes up. Gotta finish HW before TPHD!

Options are bad?

If they removed that control scheme, it simply wouldn't be a definitive version. Gamecube had analog stick controls, Wii had Wiimote support, so supporting both is simply the way to go. I probably won't play it using Wiimote, but it's nice to know, that I could.

There are so many "HD" ports, that even remove content. Like Metal Gear Solid collection. Sly Cooper collection. Prince of Persia collection. Splinter Cell collection and I don't like that at all.

Pikmin 3 has how many control schemes? 4? 5? I see that as a good thing. Options are always a good thing. Even when my personal choice is Wiimote + Gamepad for that game.

Also "playing games using Wiimote"? You actually prefer playing for example Metroid Prime 1+2 using outdated analog stick controls? Pikmin 1+2 using analog sticks? Resident Evil 4, although your accuracy will suffer because of it? For me I don't prefer one control scheme over others. It always depends on the game itself. Some work way better, when using Wiimote. Some others don't. And some wouldn't even work with inaccurate analog sticks at all. For example Dead Space Extraction, Zack & Wiki, House of the Dead Overkill etc. (yeah yeah, it "works", but it works like ass, just like playing Resident Evil 4 using some analog stick controller also still "works", but after playing the Wii Edition all of those versions play like crap). Some play best when using a mouse etc.

You do understand that this is not a remake, but a port?

Average review just an 86. Seems to be due to graphics that remain lacking. Still buying it but was hoping for better.

That's no excuse. It's being advertised as an HD Remaster so you can see why folks would expect more of its visuals.

The moment I get the game I'll play it with my WUPC or Gioteck-GC2. Can't be arsed to play with gimmicky crap controls.
