Hey, you guys ought to start an all-encompassing Dynit thread here in the anime forum, so you can more easily concentrate your frequent discussions about them there. Since Dynit releases are not English friendly at all, not even subtitles, there's only a handful of forum users in this English-speaking anime forum who would have much interest in those releases. And, I think it would be more helpful for those who can watch Dynit releases to be able to more easily find current discussions about them as well. I don't see any Dynit-specific threads in here yet, so it would probably be a good addition. Just offering a helpful suggestion.

Default The Blu: A Silent Voice LE (new, 2018)

Kimchi has a new release of "A Silent Voice" coming up for pre-order 21 Nov 2018.
It's published by The Blu again and is a 2 disc, in a Scanovo case, with Slip-box and art cards.
It does not state language support in the advert though.

edit: note - The previous (numbered)Spec Ed. by The Blu was NOT English friendly. This coming one may be.

The janky google translate on their Facebook page makes it seem like Korean, JP subs only

^^ That could end up correct, though I find it passing strange why The Blu would do a re-issue without more subs/dubs when their previous is still available.
I'm good with my AtA spec ed. regardless but figured this was worth mentioning at least.

I'm still baffled this does NOT have a US release. I got the JP release when it came out (2 day shipping from Tokyo to Michigan- I didn't pay extra, it was standard Amazon JP shipping), and since then, the UK had a digital release, and a DVD/BD release, and so did Korea, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Italy. At this point, customers in North America have every right to be mad.

As am I. I have the UK release.

I swore they had announced that someone had the rights to it but I guess they never got around to, I dunno saying that was getting a BD release.

Yeah, I'm very pleased with the UK Collector's Edition... chipboard box with metallic finish on the gorgeous rear cover art, clear plastic sleeve with the text and some of the characters printed on it on it so the art box is clean and the characters appear 3-dimensional, a thick 76 page art book... By the time any US version releases it will probably just be in a bare-bones amaray case without a slip. I've watched my UK set a few times already.

Well, obviously, we don't know but I'd suggest keeping an eye on the Kimchi edition I just listed, as it will be Region A compatible and it could possibly be English friendly.

I'm pretty sure it won't be English friendly, but that would be a nice addition.

One thing I will say is that regardless of which version, it has somewhat poor PQ in regards to Banding. mp3dom was able to clean some it up for the Dynit (Italian) release, but it appears most of it is baked into the master. Shame.

Liz to Aoi Tori will most likely share the same fate as the staff is nearly identical on a production level.

So, looks like it'll be coming back to theaters for two days (one subbed, one dubbed): https://www.fathomevents.com/events/...2000:00:00.000

Someday we will get the music license thing figured out and have a release here. Would you guys be upset if the song at the start was changed if it meant getting a BD?

If JoJo can get its music intact here, then there’s no reason Koe no Katachi can’t. (I don’t mean it literally, but there’s bound to be a way- unless Eleven Arts decides to cheap out and not get the license from whoever owns the song- “My Generation” by a The Who)

Unfortunately, no. The only thing I've seen are a couple overpriced imports on Amazon. I had to have my copy shipped to my relatives before they came to visit. Then again, since that felt like the easiest option for me I didn't spend much time investigating so it's possible there's a website out there.

If you're region free/region B, amazon UK ships to the United States without any issue. Zavvi is another option. The Anime Ltd. release is very good.

The UK AL release is visually on par with the JP release.
