I am a Shonen fan but I don't like One Piece. I don't know what it is but I find it really annoying. Can't even sit through 5 minutes of it before getting fed up with it and start rolling my eyes. Maybe it will be better if I don't listen to the English dub.

I personally can't stand the art of One Piece, and as such I can't enjoy the show.

Nice to see another fan of Ghost Hunt however! Awesome show!

I have to say I'm surprised at the backlash against the animation style for One Piece.

Just from looking at the animation style I've seen in images for that One Piece series, I know I would have no interest in it at all. But then, I violently dislike most shonen series anyway...

I don't mind it or the show. You can see some of the Dragon Ball influence on it.
I don't know if I would try to buy it though since there are so many episodes though haha. Imagine if the released it on blu ray.

Haha, see, I was right-on with my assumption - if it's anything even remotely like Dragon Ball, probably my most disliked anime series of all (toss up with Gurren Lagann), then I certainly won't like One Piece.

The blu releases might start soon (a year or two as there are still a few arcs to get through) I think the Punk Hazard arc is the first to get the blu treatment in Japan. Everything before that really wouldn't benefit from blu. Honestly if anyone's looking to get into the show at this point the Amazon exclusives would be the way to go.

I picked up a bunch of DVDs over the last couple of years that I never got around to. I have yet to watch any of it because I'm working my way through my Blu-ray backlog first. Most of this is from Rightstuf Black Friday and 12 Days of Savings, some from Ebay, some from Amazon.

That's a good one. Glad I already have a copy. I'm such a completist I've contemplated getting the old DVD release. It's so old it's titled Rupan III.

Bought these used off eBay:

Wanted to get the separate releases for the Lupin movies released by Funimation. This covers my favorites. Plus I finally got that weird live action film.

These two are on the way:

It still very much upsets me that even most of the "big" anime shows have yet to make it to Blu-ray:

-Bleach
-Death Note
-Dragon Ball
-Dragon Ball GT
-Fullmetal Alchemist (original)
-InuYasha (original)
-Naruto
-Naruto Shippūden
-One Piece
-Pokémon

I have some on DVD but for most I'm still holding out for a Blu-ray release.

I have both Funimation's Lupin Movies Boxsets, sold my Manga Entertainment copy of Castle Of Cagliostro and also have Pioneer's copy of the Secret Of Mamo movie. But have never seen the live action movie.

One piece, Bleach, Naruto, and Initial D are what got me back into anime a few years ago. Initial D was the first one I actually purchased and brought me to where I am today. With my addiction and all. . I know a lot of you don't care for these series but I enjoy them. There is a lot of filler but I don't mind it to much. My avatar is the main characters brother ( Portgas D. Ace) from One Piece.

I've been wondering if Discotek will release the titles Funi did. It wouldn't surprise me if they did so and added special features. I'd also understand if they decided to hold off and release the later specials that have never seen an NA release. We'll see soon, since the next special chronologically is the first of the Funi titles.

Just watched the live action movie yesterday. It was better than I thought. Very much a comedy. Don't expect a serious plot.

Got this for $35 off of a seller on Amazon Jp. Much better than the $70+ asking price on ebay. I'm just glad the seller shipped internationally.
