I have just seen the first episode and I like it! Bonus points for having a Radiohead song as the ending theme.

It's coming to Blu-Ray later in 2016. Amazon has a preorder up already.

.... I sure hope Funimation does a proper job with this release, the Japanese Universal release is VERY good in both audio and video quality. The US release at least will have both the Japanese and English in DTS-HD Master Audio audio....

Really looking forward to having a Blu-ray release of this series again...

I'm still disappointed they chose not to release this as a LE set but a black amaray case would be a great consolation prize

heheh, I love the nice sturdy chipboard slipbox my Ergo Proxy set has - it even has that wonderful, velvety-smooth matte finish on it...

I just wish it had subtitles rather than being dub-only - I don't mind the dub too much for Ergo Proxy, but I would still much prefer watching with subtitles. So, I'll get this Funi release just for the subs, to compliment the JP set. I do already have subs on the DVD release, but the Blu-ray should be a nice upgrade from that.

I don't know....I'd put upscaled Geneon DVD's versus Funi bluray's a majority of the time. I'm just sayin'....

Just the fact that it will be on much less-fragile Blu-ray discs is enough to make me want to upgrade. DVDs will get huge scratches on their surfaces just from glancing sideways at them...

Will there be any HD lossless audio on the Funi Blu-rays? That's always a big plus for Blu-ray over DVD as well, especially when watching anime on the sound system in my theater room... Audio upgrades are not quite as prevalent in anime, though.

There's no reason for them not to have HD audio track if they have the liscense for the Blu-ray, I'd be super mad if they didn't. While the Genon DVD's have an excellent DTS 5.1 mix, the Japanese release Dolby Digital HD Track is simply on a different level...the opening song in HD audio...

Think I want to use my new headphones for watching Blu-ray's instead of my HT system, wish my HT were as good as these babies:

[Show spoiler]

Ergo Proxy pre-order is ~$52 @ Rightstuff...

Since 99.9% of Funi's releases have lossless audio, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet this one will as well.

Lol, I'm just the opposite - I don't buy anime from Amazon unless its a bare-case release because of their sh!tty packing with no protection. I'll never buy LE boxes or Blu-rays with slips from Amazon, because they always arrive damaged - I got sick of receiving damaged items and then getting damaged replacements as well...

When you experience some of the crap from RightStuf that I've experienced in the last couple years I think they need a lot of improvement. I've had crap arrive in bubble mailers from them that have been damaged and sorting out everything through customer service takes a lot longer than it used to. I'm not saying I don't order at all.... I'm just saying, that unless I see something that works for me I'm not all that interested. Amazon has sent me perfect condition everything, so my experiences have shifted recently. I've been loyal to RightStuf since 2001....so when I think they've gone down hill....that should say something. The change to bubble mailers is the biggest complaint I have for anything.

I have never received a damaged item from Rightstuf and I have been ordering from them for about eight years now. I get at least a package a month from them and I've never received anything in a bubble mailer...
They always ship in cardboard mailers or boxes in my experience.
