Any rumors about Buffy the Vampire Slayer show coming out on Blu-ray?

I wanted to buy this series, so I went to Amazon.ca and they wanted $300.00 on DVD. I would buy it for $450 or $500 on Blu-ray but there is no way I'm spending $300.00 on a DVD series.

Probably just using the 16:9 version used for the UK DVDs that have been on and off streaming since... always. Netflix had those original before switching to the 4:3 version (except for OMWF of course) before switching to HD, before it was removed entirely.

I would prefer the original 4:3 version but as long as long the picture isn't drastically affected like earlier seasons, i can deal with the 16:9.

How has this not happened yet? How. I don't care about any of the technical excuses. If charmed can get one buffy deserves it. They can even do just seasons 1-5.

this is a question that you should be asking the house of mouse they own buffy and I think angel as well so it's up to them sadly

I do need OMWF in HD something fierce though. I’m definitely pulling for a full series box. Season 7 isn’t my favorite but there are still some fantastic episodes, including the finale. I need Angel on Blu too. I’m actually kind of shocked that Charmed’s remaster got more love and care as Buffy is probably still the bigger show (no offense to charmed fans, it wasn’t on my radar growing up so I could be mistaken)

Well, Fox was planning a blu-ray box set, but canceled their plans after the reaction of the "hd" remaster. Hopefully Disney will do something now that they own Fox.

To be fair, FOX did the hatchet jobs on the Simpsons a long time ago on the Simpsons World App. They at least gave you the option to switch back to the OAR.

My absolute favorite show ever. How this one hasn't gotten a Blu-Ray release yet, is beyond me.
Buffy has such a loyal and strong fan base.

No offense to Charmed, but Charmed cannot compare to Buffy, in any way. I think the Charmed reboot really helped with a Blu-Ray release.

I still hold out hope for a Buffy Blu-Ray release. It simply must happen!

I have to be honest and say i agree with others here that say they're happy they didn't release it cause it's such a bad remaster, but hopefully Disney will do a new remaster, one that does it justice and release it on BD. Both Buffy and Angel HAS to get some BD release!

Yeah, if it's the current "re-master" I'll pass and stick to my DVDs. If it's a proper re-master that Disney fixes and goes by Josh's wishes then I'd buy that in a second. Take my money Disney!
