Release day coming soon -- anxiously awaiting more information on the actual details of the disc

Is it actually 3D
Is it English friendly or semi friendly (audio or subtitle track)

I left a message in the Dutch subforum just in case someone grabs an early copy and can shed some light. I strongly suspect this is non-English despite the obvious irony of the movie itself, but it won't be the first.

Rarewaves has this in stock now for 32 Canadian, free shipping. Cheaper than a new release at Walmart after tax. They have it listed as 3D/2D, so I guess the 3D does exist. Same UPC and Catalog # as BOL and the other Dutch and Belgian sites. It seems to be 1 disc, so I would imagine the odds of there being English on the 3D is good as they'd share the same audio tracks wouldn't they? I found these specs on another dutch site;

Drager: BLURAY
Aantal stuks in verpakking: 1 disc
Speelduur: 86 minuten
Regiocode: B
Taal: Engels
Overige talen: Nederlands

That's a good sign on the 3D I guess, but I don't think I'd trust Rarewaves audio description since they often just copy/paste another website and have been caught 'misinformed' several times

The Rarewaves Ebay listings also have it as a "UK 2D + 3D import" which doesn't help matters much.

The UPC I've found on several Belgian websites and most don't list English as an option unless they've updated in the last couple days.
For $30 I think I'll wait for confirmation or at least a real picture of hte back cover and not just the stock photos

Squizzi, do you have a link to the specific one that you ordered that you can share?

Apparently, CDendvd.nl really didn't want me to order this from them, so after going back and forth multiple times, I just told them to cancel it....was starting to feel kind of weird...

"First of all thank you for your order and payment by Paypal.

Before we order the 3D Blu-Ray from our supplier, we need to point out that this production (release Today) is most likely only with Dutch audio.

The chance that they include English options are not known and unfortunately not great.

Do you still wish us to proceed with the order, or would you rather cancel and get an immediate refund?"

So, I replied and stated yes, that it was now known that this version should have the English audio.

Then they emailed again:

"This blu-ray has just been released (today and on Saturday they never supply stores), so no consumer has had a chance to receive one today to check.

My supplier has no information about English audio or subtitling and does point out the voices on this blu-ray, which are only Dutch and Flemish people.

I do not know your source, but I’m afraid that the chance of English audio is practically nill. That is also because this animation version is made for family purposes and the young often do not speak English yet. Commercially it wouldn’t make sense to add the English options, because it would cost more to produce and they know that more than 99% of the items will be sold in Dutch speaking areas, so no real selling benefits outside the Netherlands!.

Knowing this, do you still wish to proceed?"

So, after all that, I just told them to cancel. I'll ride it out until someone either has this one from CDenDVD.nl "in hand" or order it later from BOL which squizzi has stated DOES have English audio.

I just thought it was a little strange that they were fighting so hard not to ship it to me, instead of just telling me the chances were slim it had English audio...

Understood.
My order is still active. CDenDVD.nl has always been a good source for me, but they have had a bad experience with "English" speaking international orders from the Bigfoot Junior 3D (aka Son of Bigfoot) release; No English track and upset customers demanding returns! I'm sure they don't want to repeat that incident.

Don't think bol.com ships outside belgium/netherlands. Best option I guess is to try this cdendvd.nl option that others mentioned

Leap of faith based on new information
Order placed at http://www.dvdoutlet.nl
I'll assume the same UPC means the same information applies

14.95 + 4.95 EUR shipping
About 10EUR cheaper than CDenDVD and 20 EUR cheaper than BOL./
Never ordered directly from any of these before so fingers crossed that all goes well.

I couldn't figure out if they deduct VAT or not. It's listed separately in their line items, but I can't tell if they just don't charge for US orders or
if it's included in the total. My Account Order history appears that it's separated, but no idea if they'll refund it if requested -- guessing not if it's like most places, but I'll try once things post and ship.

My CC charge is around $21.40 (Cap One so no FOREX fee).

https://www.bol.com/nl/p/corgi/9200000107574878/ 46EUR shipped to US (I'm hoping Express shipping for 29EUR)

https://www.dvdoutlet.nl/nl/corgi-2d...370837394.html 19.24EUR shipped to US (5-15 days)

https://www.cdendvd-klassiek.nl/arti...artcode=Y10733 29.95EUR Shipped (site says 6-10 day delivered to US)

I know they at least used to ship to the US. I never ordered from them, but several people ordered THE BFG 3D from them since it was Region Free and had Atmos audio (a difficult combination to find) and The Little Vampire 3D I think was one of the other common orders

I bit on the BOL link with the super high shipping, had to use google live translate on my phone camera to figure everything out, also had to put in some dummy address info, but it seems to have somewhat reliably worked. I’ll post an update if/when it shows up lol. There’s definitely a ship to USA option under “other”, have to translate the word “United States”, I forgot what they had it as. But yeah 29 euro shipping.

After you click on "Place Order", a window will pop up and ask for your info (I also had to confirm my identity with a texted code sent to me).

Appreciate the links. I bit the bullet and ordered from dvdoutlet.nl. My order showed the VAT. It's my second order from there and I don't recall them refunding it later.

I usually order from cdendvd.nl because the owner is a great guy. But dvdoutlet.nl had Nova Zembla 3-D on sale for 7.50 so I couldn't resist. Here's the breakdown if anyone is interested:

PRODUCT NAME SKU PRICE
Corgi 2642538 14.29
Nova Zembla 937696 7.49

order subtotal 18.00
tax 4.64
shipping/handling 4.09
TOTAL 26.73

You'll notice the numbers don't really seem to add up. I'm not sure where my discount is coming from, but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I went with dvdoutlet.nl (thanx hariseldon) since the product description (2D/3D) and the UPC/EAN# (5412370837394) match the other two sites (which have a picture, while dvdoutlet.nl does not). And because it was by far the least expensive cost plus shipping:

DVD Outlet €19,24 (approx. $21.35 US)
CDenDVD.nl €29,95 ($33.24)
bol.com €45,98 ($51.03)

Also, thanx to squzzi for confirming the 3D and English audio.

Never did figure out the prices -- the original order page had teh correct total, but order history has a higher VAT and lower shipping cost, but same total.

Basically on mine it appears the took the VAT off the shipping in the final summary. Not sure I've seen that before.

Before entering Shipping Information
Corgi (2D+3D) 1 €14,29 [Note 11.91 + 2.48 VAT]
Subtotaal € 14,29
VAT € 2,48
Total 14.29

On site before going through checkout but after adding Shipping Calculation
Subtotal € 14.29 [Note: 11.81 + 2.48 VAT]
Shipping & handling (Standard shipping) € 4.95 [Note 4.09 +0.86 VAT]
VAT € 3.34 [Note: 2.48 + 0.86]
Total € 19.24

Order history -- they separated the numbers
Subtotal of order € 11.81
VAT € 3.34
Shipping & handling € 4.09
Total € 19.24

Text from DVDOutlet or your CC?

Those that ordered from DVDOutlet -- did you get an Order Confirmation email? EDIT: I did get an Order Confirmation, but I had to dig it out of the gmail spam folder

I also didn't get a text to confirm my identity from DVDOutlet or my CC company. Sometimes I will get that from my card the first time I order from a new site

This was my first time ordering from DVDOutlet. I had a window pop up (while checking out) that said it would send a text with a six (seven?) digit code to the phone number I used when registering on the site in order to complete the transaction. Hit OK, received the text, entered the code in a box in the same window and finished the transaction. I'm guessing it was from DVDOutlet as there was no indication it was from my CC (name or logo). It's all a blur now.

I did get an order confirmation which I also had to retrieve from my junk mail.
