Default US Shows Only Released in Germany - Why?

I've noticed that with some US shows, Germany will get a Blu-Ray release and the US won't. Examples include Turn and Eureka. Why is it that another country gets a Blu-Ray release and the originating country does't? Does Germany just buy more Blu-rays per capita? If so, why? Do Germans prefer physical media for ownership or do many Germans lack sufficiently high Internet speeds for streaming?

Because distributors in America don't feel like there's money to be made, while someone in Germany does.

Thank god for it too, or else I wouldn't have been able to get Mob City on Blu-ray.

Germans are technic nerds. We like to have the best stuff as possible and thats why we buy more physicals releases. Americans are too much into their streaming
