I indulge the 15 year old in me for action movies and whatnot, but for this kind of thing it's more that the appeal has worn off. There's better things for that now-a-days at the click of a button.

That's just me though, happy for those who want these. Cool to see this kind of stuff hit blu.

I actually made a custom case of all 4 movies on dvd and would LOVE to retire those. As long as this includes the Unrated cuts, I'm very excited (perhaps more than I should be

I’ve only seen the first two movies, and they’re plenty entertaining in a trashy surface level, so, yeah, why not?

Scream specified on Facebook that unrated versions will be included.

This is not exactly a top shelf priority, but I’ll pick it up.

You know what? I'm going to backtrack on this a bit. I don't think I have any of these on DVD anymore (I remember owning the first one), but I gave myself a refresher course on the series and I have to say, I'm not sure I will be as happy with these as I thought.

For one thing, in the first film, Drew Barrymore looks really young, which was something I forgot about. That's sort of also the reason why I don't think I've ever even watched the second film (or for that matter, Embrace of the Vampire), because to me, Alyssa Milano is perpetually the age of ten from her role in Commando. The fourth film looks like hot garbage, and it has been on Blu-ray since day one anyway, albeit in an older version with no lossless audio. I expect that the Shout! disc will improve on the existing one, but now we're down to just the third film, which strangely, I've also never seen, despite liking Jamie Pressly a lot in Ringmaster (the Jerry Springer movie, which is super awful but incredibly trashy).

Now, I also forgot that the first film does have Cheryl Ladd in it, but sadly, these aren't MILF-based movies (

) so she isn't the focus of the sexy/nude times.

I will be honest, the other day, someone mentioned a film that Angie Everhart was in, and it got me thinking again that we really don't have any good softcore erotic films on Blu-ray (the Shannon Tweed film Scorned was recently released in Germany, but that's pretty much it). I suppose that's why I'll be buying this set in the end, but I will be honest and say that on reflection, I am only semi-pleased, and I would be fully pleased with Blu-rays of Angie Everhart's (and Shannon Tweed, etc.) films, though I suppose Shout! are too prudish for these kinds of softcore sex films.

These movies are the very definition of guilty pleasures. Don't think I've seen #3 and had no idea there was a 4th entry but I definitely remember the first 2. These films aren't just trashy fun - they also work as above-average dramatic thrillers IMO. Happy to add this set to my collection.

Yesssss! I've been asking for a Poison Ivy collection for years. Very cool and unexpected announcement. I actually found the 4th one at a dollar store on blu for $3 lol! It was released by Alliance in Canada.

Doubtful most kids who grew up in the 90s ever watched these kinds of movies with the volume on or at least at an audible level.

It's not...the first one is actually pretty good. I mean I might never get that image of Skerritt out of my head, but it certainly works for the time period. The second one is good for fans of Alyssa Milano like the third one is good for fans of Jaime Pressly. The fourth is the only one I felt was just awful and not worth watching unless you just want to "finish off" the series.
