Are you saying it has a "Happy Ending"?

I always felt like the movie really wanted to tell the story of the relationship between Ivy and Coop and was turned into a thriller on second thought cuz it's what sold then.

Also, that introduction scene with Ivy finishing that dying dog was a great way to introduce the character. Did she do it out of empathy or apathy? You never really know.
I’d take Wild Things over Poison Ivy, maybe if this sells well enough, we can get a release of all of those movies as well.

Actually thought number 2 had a few really good things going for it. Of course Alyssa Milano was at her peak here, it has some cool 90's synth music, decent photography and lighting, and Xander Berkeley is a good desperate professor/bastard in it. The ending seemed to go in an odd direction, but overall I've always liked this one.

The New Seduction was always my second favorite. 2/4 sucked. Tho i like some parts about two, it's just really dumb at times. Tho 3 is too. But 3 has a really cool psychological aspect about it. Like why Joy counts while she brushes her hair. She imagined Violet coming into their home/killed her father etc. I always thought that made sense, and why she doesn't try to find her father at the end of the movie. The film is also really creepy at the end, and goes into slasher territory

2 was the first one I saw because of Milano way back then. It always felt like a pretty decent unpretentious flick with a few good things going on for it... kinda like the first one... more of a coming of age story than a thriller.

3 was definitely a departure from that but at least they clearly had fun with it.

$43.45--I guess now's the time to pull the trigger. It'll shoot back up to $60 in no time. Are the aspect ratios confirmed to be 1.85:1?

How so? I’m only interested in the first one and it should be 1.85:1.

1.33 can uncover pleasant surprises. They are erotic thrillers after all. Why not at the very least include alternate versions of certain scenes, perhaps even as extras, in 1.33:1?

Let's hope they present the movies as they were intended to be enjoyed. I would assume that means 1.81:1 for the first one (only movie intended for a theatrical release), 1.33:1 for the next two (straight to VHS) and unclear/don't care about the 4th one, lol.

Let's hope they provide the unrated cuts as well.

I don't see the point of including the R-rated cuts of these movies. Who among the viewers of these films and this genre would care to see the diluted versions? It defeats the purpose and takes up disc space. It's not like you're going to invite Grandma, Grandpa, and the kids to watch the rated cut.

I’d normally agree. Plus the differences between both versions are so mild in the first place.

However, I know as far as Poison Ivy 1 goes, there’s a whole scene that’s present in the theatrical cut that’s nowhere to be seen in the unrated cut. It has Ivy running into Mr. Cooper in the middle of the night and he’s not wearing his hair piece. She makes him feel good about it. I think it’s a pretty cool little scene that really helps set up the dynamics between Ivy and Mr. Cooper.

Perhaps if I get a decent tax return I’ll bite with this one.

So Jeff Nelson who works at SF on Facebook stated that special features won't be too extreme as expected, but i found out a commentary with Katt Shea will appear as one of the bonus features on 1. I'm excited to listen to it!

That's awesome. I'm expecting 1 to get most of the features.
