Looking for some help from our Dutch forum members on the BD of this BBC Wales / SC4 TV show.

The database entry here is sparse but digging around on various Dutch retailer websites it appears this has both the
(a) All spoken Welsh version as featured on SC4
(b) English spoken version with limited spoken Welsh as featured on BBC Wales

Both only appear to have Dutch subtitles so otherwise would only be of use to a bilingual Welsh and English speaker. Wanted to ask are there English subtitles for either version ? I presume NOT.

These are only the 4 episodes of Series 1 and does not include the later one-off special. The special has not been released in UK either.

In the UK, Network have released only on DVD and to increase profits the two versions are sold separately, and both only have English subtitles when Welsh is spoken, and not for any spoken English.

The German edition was just released on BD. This is probably the bilingual version only and it probably has localized German titles, but there are English subtitles (though these may only be for the English language dialogue--I don't know).

It does not appear to include the 2015 special, only the four episodes:

FYI--If it helps, DaaVaaDee has an eBay listing for the Dutch release which claims it does have both the English and Welsh versions, but with DD 5.1 audio and on only two discs (TRT: 776 minutes). I would expect the presentation to be much better on the German set, since that only includes the one version:

I wouldn't be surprised at anything Just Entertainment do. Their Ripper Street season 3 release is encoded in MPEG-2.
