Default How many comics do you own/which ones?

I have about 50 boxes of comics of varying sizes, so I think I have something in the neighborhood of 6,000-8,000. I collect mainly what I like, and not just for value. I like X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman and Superman, with some nice runs on Daredevil and Hulk. I have pretty much everything X-Men and Spider-Man related, including ancillary titles, from about 1981-2008. That was my jam, yo! I have complete runs for the Batman and Superman titles from post-crisis to new 52, but not *all* the sister titles since that would be way too much. Some notable runs I have are:

Uncanny X-Men 141-500
X-Men 1-154
Amazing Spider-Man 200-545
All Spidey titles from 90's-2008
Daredevil 201-500
Batman 401-703
Detective Comics 568-775 + scattered after
Superman 1-226/650-wherever it ended
All Batman/Superman Adventures issues, complete run

And scattered earlier issues of each title, of course. I have pretty much everything "good" that Marvel and DC put out from 2000-2010, and a huge amount of the '90's, as that was my era. And I have a special box of my most treasured comics, like Watchmen 1-12, Dark Knight Returns, Alan Moore Superman, Death of Gwen Stacy issues, etc. Trying to get key 70's issues CGC'd; my dream would be to one day own Hulk 181, ASM 129 and Giant Size X-Men 1, but maybe the day will come!

Anyway, interested in how many and what everyone else owns.

I used to have 5000+ or so but I sold them off around 5 years ago. I did keep the complete set of Spectacular Spider-Man though.

I have 15 long boxes plus a hundred additional sitting around in various spots, so most likely 4k or a little above.

I've slowed down buying back issues to fill sets or random series in the past year for two reasons. First is that I found I just started buying comics to buy them from sets or series I only had a vague interest in. It was basically just spending money to have them sit in long boxes unread. The second reason was that I moved into a new house. After actually seeing all the long boxes stacked up I realized I didn't want to continue to add additional boxes due to space and a lack of interest in moving that amount of stuff again. I've actually started to sell off the parts of my collection that I don't hold much value to me personally. I've also whittled down my pull list to only titles I will definitely read so that helps as well. Also started buying lots of digital trades as there are always some on sale.

The series I will hold onto/currently read:

Batman/Legends of the Dark Knight/Detective Comics
Amazing Spider-man/Spectacular Spider-Man/Web of Spider-Man
West Coast Avengers (complete)
Saga
Various Image Comics series/sets

I have cut down to 2 long boxes (from 5 long boxes) and a couple boxes of graded comics. Most of the raw stuff is spidey and x-men stuff. Among the graded stuff I would say my favourite is Tomb of Dracula #10 and werewolf by night 32.
Been trying to cut down on quantity and focus on key issues instead. Hard slowly be cutting down the collection though.

I have over 5000.

My major runs:

Batman 300 to 713 - missing around 20 issues
Detective - about 280 issues between 574 and 880

I'd say over a 100. Mainly include Star Wars, Spider-Man & Batman and anything by Jeff Lemire.

About 300, I own the original Hobgoblin story-arc and most of the first 100 issues of Ultimate Spider-Man.

I own 20 long boxes and 5 short boxes. I need to cut back because I have no more room. Some of the short boxes aren't filled, but I'm specific with what goes in each one. Each one has either single issue comics, trades/HCs, and/or omnibuses.

I wish I had a bigger house.

I'm currently at 28 short boxes and a full bookcase of hardcovers. Total is just over 3,500
