Default Sint

Hello all. Can anyone tell me a bit about this movie without giving anything away? It looks like a good horror movie. Also, does anyone know where I can obtain the steelbook for this movie? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sint is actually Sinterklaas, Dutch for Santa Clause, contrary to what most Americans believe is NOT the Coca Cola copyrighted red jolly fatso that brings presents around Christmas. The tradition of Sinterklaas is set around December 6th, and being the patron saint of children, he brings presents in a similar way. It's a really big folk tradition in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The premise of the movie, however, is that whenever the evening of December 5th falls on a (full moon? blood moon? I forgot) the evil zombie Sint rises and let's say that he does not carry presents in his bag.

To answer your second question: the steelbook can be found at the site of bol.com:
https://www.bol.com/nl/p/sint/100200...pe=typedsearch

Be warned though that it is not English friendly.

Thank you! This is my new "holy grail" blu. It was Fritt Vilt for the longest time, I finally obtained it thanks to a board member. I must have this steel!

I actually don't believe that a version with English subtitles exists, so unless you speak or read Dutch, the language will be a barrier for you. The movie's pretty funny though. The Blu-ray features an interview with the actor who plays the murderous bishop, Huub Stapel, stating that the blood thirsty maniac he portraits is, in fact, a 'misunderstood character'.

Bummer about the no-English subs. I'd still like the steel, I could always purchase the Canadian or Australian disc. Yes, I like it enough to double dip.

Oh, there *is* an international version. Didn't know that...
Well, if you're prepared to double dip, then you can find the steel on the website of Bol I mentioned a few posts earlier.

Thank you! I'll give it a try. The design is different than the one on here, but I'll chance it anyway.

Which one did you get? Sorry for bumpin' an old topic. I'm Dutch but wanted to buy a Blu-ray with english subtitles for a non-Dutch friend.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Saint-Blu-ray/32607/

Both have English subtitles, not sure about the extra's.
