Default Adding Movies Anywhere collection to Bluray.com collection?

Greetings,

I'm not sure if I'm overlooking the area, but I can't find an option to add my Movies Anywhere titles to this site. I try to keep my collections with iTunes, Amazon Video, Ultraviolet, DVD and blurays up to date, so I'd also like to add the linked titles to Movies Anywhere.

Is this an option, or is it not yet available on bluray.com?

Disney movies have always been listed under Ultraviolet, so I've just used that.

Thanks for the info. The OCD in me wants to use the accuracy of the site for inventory purposes, so if it's UV, I want it listed under UV, and if it's MA, I want it listed under MA. When I'm buying new blurays or digital codes, I use this site to keep track of what I have so I won't repeat a purchase on accident. So I'd like to see a Movies Anywhere option with my UV, iTunes, and AIV listings.

They have added the Movies Anywhere field under the digital coy field of the database. It is searchable so you can see which tiles you have in your collection If you look at the listing for War for the Planet of the Apes 3D you'll see it under Disc section below UV, iTunes and Google Play.

There is no specific category listing under My Collection, just as there isn't one for 4K. As MA is still only a month or two old, it is a work in progress and many titles will need the information added.

I am the same way. I like for my totals to match everywhere. I even have a spreadsheet to track it all. I currently use iTunes for my DMA list on blu-ray.com being that I don't use or own any non-Disney movies on iTunes. I created a sub-group DMA for those.

For non-UV/MA I use AIV and then the appropriate sub-category (VUDU, Google Play, FandangoNOw, etc)

A Movies Anywhere section is being discussed and may be coming soon. I was against it at first. But after noticing MA does have some different versions that other providers don't.

I have also suggested Ultraviolet be renamed Digital or Vudu and have a checkbox for UV, since many movies at Vudu and other retailers are not Ultraviolet. SO with the checkbox the UV logo would appear similar to how the MA logo appears now.

Someone should start a poll for a MA database

Yeah, I feel like UV, MA, and iTunes should all just be one format on the site: Digital. Then within Digital, for a specific movie you'd have checkboxes for UV, MA, iTunes, Vudu, FandangoNOW, Amazon, etc.

I just list MA movies under itunes, since I see MA as an aggregate. I don't watch anything on MA anyways.

But I do like the suggestion of changing UV to vudu.

The MA section is up. But I wish I could just import all the stuff I have under UV instead of adding each individual title.

So, is it possible to add all my iTunes films - UK and US accounts - straight to blu-ray.com? Or will I have to manually do it?

Also, I have a far few hundred discs too. What would be the best way to add these? Scanning of barcode?

Slightly off topic, but is there some sort of tutorial or step-by-step for how to add collections (iTunes, UV, Blu-ray, etc)? I can't seem to figure it out.

Thanks for adding the MA Section, but changes need to be made to the UV section. UV was used for any movies that came with a digital code, even if the code wasn't UV. It was used for DisneyMoviesAnywhere codes, and before that, Digital Copy Plus codes. A lot of those movies aren't UV. So I would change the UV section to Vudu, or, just merge MA, UV, AIV, and Itunes to Digital, and make each provider and digital locker a checkbox. Would make sorting and maintaining collection a lot simpler.

If it could be implemented, this sounds like a great idea!

I have talked the developers about this over the last few months. Offering up a few suggestions.
1. Merge all Digital
2. Change UV to Digital (Digital/UV) with UV checkbox. Include all digital retailers except the ones already on their own, or include them for a possible future merger. This is where you could keep track of all your digital collection. While also having iTunes, AIV, and MA separate.
3. Create a new UV database that is strictly UV. Like MA is strictly MA. Change UV database to Digital. Give everyone a new UV only collection so its no more work on their part.

That last one is my favorite since I like having iTunes, MA, and AIV separate. I would actually use the UV database if it were sticky UV, like it was originally intended. This way you can see which of you movies are actually UV.

But talks have quieted down in the last few weeks. I offered to do it myself. But heard nothing about it and kind of gave up on it to do other things.

Do you mean adding movies to your collection, or to the database? I do not know any tutorials though.

I meant to my collection, but someone was kind enough to PM me how to do it. Thanks,

Whatever is decided, I think it's a big thing to note that MA does not do TV shows. (That's in addition to the studios they do not carry such as Paramount.) So I don't think merging everything would work as there is still a format division.

#1 is the best solution. It is the cleanest and most flexible. Merge all to Digital and have check boxes for retailers and digital rights. You could still just easily do a filter to view your iTunes collection. Ideally there could also be a dropdown to choose quality (SD, HD, or 4K).

I like option #1 "Merge all digital", but that's mainly because I don't have the time to differentiate titles between the multiple providers.

If someone really wanted to, they could create catagories in the list to keep separate like I do for my Blu-rays (genre) and my DVDs (available on Blu, Not on Blu, TV, for sale).
