Default The DCU re-boot/re-numbering. September 2011.

Has everyone heard? If not, here's the lowdown. DC comics, as of September, will revert back to issue 1 on ALL of their comic series. (including Detective Comics)

now, they are keeping some continuity, and getting rid of others. For example, Barry Allen looks to be dead again, and Stephanie Brown is nowehere near the cowl as Batgirl. (Barbara somehow is Batgirl again.)

also, some of the comics are rebooting as well, such as Catwoman and Aquaman.

What are your thoughts?

I'm pretty pissed that Steph is no longer Batgirl. That got me into comics two years ago. And now... No more.

I'm looking forward to the reboot as a way to jump back into comics after being away for probably over a decade now. I'd love to get all the core books but that's a bit too much so I'll probably just go with Detective Comics, Batman, Justice League, and one or two others. I'm actually rather excited...

So far l have mixed emotions about The New 52. To be blunt, l think l'm gonna hate the new Superman. Seems he's been revamped to be a little grittier, possibly more egocentric. But maybe its too early to make that kind of observation yet...l'm loving Bats though, as usual. But whats with the new armor though? Supes, Bats, Green Arrow and l think a few others all have these weird sort of nanotech looking duds. l'm hoping a fledgling Lexcorp isn't behind this...

So far for me the best ones have been part of The Dark line of comics. The debuts of Swamp Thing and Demon Knights were amazing. Hopefully Frankenstein will boot the juvenile chicken-scratch artist and get someone who can actually draw straight lines.

Now l'm gonna go back to writing my hate mail to Geoff Johns, and my heartfelt request that Dan Jurgens drop that government funded institution called the JLI and Bring Booster Back Bi-weekly!!!

I actually agree with you on bringing back Booster! I picked up JLI just because he's in it, but I'd much rather him have his own book again!

So far I've loved Action Comics, Aquaman, and Justice League.

Superboy, Supergirl, Green Lantern, GL: Corps and Red Lanterns were good.

Green Arrow, Savage Hawkman, GL: New Guardians, JLI and The Flash are the ones I'm most likely to drop so far.

I won't drop Superman because he's my favorite character...but I did not like Superman #1.

I love Action, Detective, Batmam, Frankenstein, Animal Man, Green Lantern, Batgril, Batwing, Swamp Thing, Aquaman, Hawkman, JLA, and a few others. I read on my iPad 2. The New 52 and same day digital got me back into comics.

My favorite part of Justice League #2:

Flash: Who's that?
Green Lantern: I'm with Batman.
Flash: Batman's real?
Green Lantern: Yeah, and he's a total tool.

Ha ha

I thought this would be a good thread to post this i so not to have to start a new one but another batch of DC (52) books are being cancelled.

Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E., Blue Beetle, Grifter, and Legion Lost end after there January issue.

G.I. Combat, Threshold end in December.
