The majority stay sealed.

However I opened 2nd copies of Indy 4, TDK and Watchmen.

And I made the mistake of opening my Wanted UK steel... I blame the wife.

I open the ones I watch. As long as I don't watch them, I deem it unnecessary to open them. Which has proven to be a good idea as I've sold some I never opened for a better price.

Well, I have to say that keeping them sealed is by far the craziest thing I have ever heard in my life and anyone who would do such a thing needs to be on medication for sure ............

Now where is that pill bottle

I keep them sealed as to me that means they are pristine and perfect. I receive them, inspect them for anything issues, and then seal them in a poly sleeve forever.

It is difficult, but I do it.

Once inawhile I will receive a badly damaged one from a retailer like amazon and once the cost refunded, I will open a nice bottle of wine, light some candles, put on some soft romantic music, and after a little small talk I will slowly reach over and start to remove ........

Damn it, where are those pills ......

Yes I do. I watch all of them. Although there are a few region locked ones I might get to swap discs. But that would still be me opening them lol.

I don't own any Blu-Ray Steelbooks but I do own Death Proof on DVD and it's a Steelbook from Best Buy. I love it. I opened it.

I open or plan on opening all of the ones from my collection, and if it's locked to another region, I'll swap or add the Region A disc to it.

There are quite a few that I have not opened yet, but I plan on opening them or replacing them with a mint open copy so I can trade out the sealed one.

Never opened up any in my collection, and I've actually never even touched a steelbook without the wrapper before! I have the same movie in a standard case to watch.

Yes I've opened all my Steelbooks so far so I can watch the movie inside. But the true test will be these Futureshop Disney Steelbooks, as I already own all of them on Blu-ray (Except Up, of course, which I will definitely open). Do I sell the copies I have now & open the Steelbooks or...

I purchase blu-ray movies to watch them regardless of whether they come in steelbook cases or not. A steelbook case is just an added bonus over a regular blu-ray case. I don't purchase multiple copies of the same movie so yea I pretty much open up steelbooks

I open mine.. even if i don't intend on watching it for a while. Although, if i plan on holding one for a while and reselling it, there is no way im opening it.

Im actually debating opening my IAL FS steelbook, but i figure i spent so much on it that i am going to have to open it. It also has some minor scratches on it so i deem it pointless to let a damaged steelbook sit unopened when its already flawed...on the other hand, ive seen how much a flawed sealed IAL will go for on ebay soooo.....

You can get a CHEAP standard IAL BD to watch and keep your IAL SB sealed.

I opened a couple BD steels, but for the most part I usually keep them sealed. However, I have purchased a couple pre-owned, open copies that are MINT just to have it in my collection (John Rambo for example).
