I pretty much open mine. Only a few I haven't get to it. Once I get in the mood of watching them I will open them. One exception. I just pre-ordered Snow White steelbook and I have the amaray version so I probably will keep that sealed.

I open every steebook I purchase
I buy digibook/steelbooks/standard Blu-ray with slipcover and box sets

I buy because I like the film very important
I like steelbooks artwork and can look better in most cases than other formats but the content difference is important to me

I buy to watch the film
I double dip on a title sometimes as in a box set or digibook version of the same film as well as the stellbook and on odd occasion buy another steelbook if it has artwork I like that's different than another steelbook I have of same film but that's rare

I keep them in polybags for protection but I open all when I get them
I don't see any point of spending money to keep sealed never opened as I don't sell or trade any of my collection

I buy to enjoy all of the steelbook inside and out and most of my films I buy now are steelbooks so I will only have one version to watch most of the time

Most important factor in deciding if I buy a steelbook or a box set or digibook is the content as in extras
The one to me that's good that will be the one I go for but sometimes I also buy both if the steelbook has artwork and finish I like especially with a film I like a lot

Of course i open them, whats the point to have sealed steelbooks? Unless i had plans to resell, which i would never do because each steel i have obtained has it's own story and i love each and every one.

I'll have to keep opening them, until I find another way to get the disc out.

I usually open them. There are a select few I still keep sealed though.

I had the tendency to leave mine sealed but have recently started to open them but I'll leave my Play.com Iron Man 1 & 2 sealed.

Yes. They're movies. I can't watch a movie through plastic.

I open all of mine. Do take a little extra care with them but you know I bought them to watch. Some I have taken apart to put artwork of my choosing on the inside of the case.

I open every single one as I buy films to watch not to stare at on a shelf. Steelbooks look great, but they look better when unsealed. I find it embarrassing when people say they buy other copies to watch. All personal opinion of course.

I open mine. I personally can't see myself spending a lot on multiple copies to keep a steel sealed unless the person plans on selling it later. I buy movies to watch them not to sit on shelves.
