Pulp Fiction TF1 was selling for about $50 a year ago; the same as Tron JB hifi. I had 2 PFs so I traded one for Tron. PF was in my trade thread for awhile with no takers. It's not that rare or expensive.

Here's one open with corner dent on ebay for $50.

What I really want to do is a list of rare steelbook and only steelbook not metal case or other things. Rare to me would have to be :

- sold out in stores and impossible or really hard to find on web sites
- exclusive artworks (for example The Thing Jp is identical as The thing Play.com since they have the same visual.
and then add the common :
- Print runs
- Price they are sold on eBay,...

So far, a lot of the so-called grail ones are easily found on eBay or Amazon.

Sorry but the Pulp fiction TF1 edition is the only one i still can't find anywhere on the web.

So, so far I still have :

Pulp fiction
X-men origins : wolverine FNAC exclusive (only 1 on eBay for 300 dollars)
og citronen (but no one knows that movie lol)
Shutter islnad FNAC exclusive
The thing both JP and Play.com
Iron man futureshop
John Rambo amazon.de
Independence Day (Ironpack error version missing "I"on spine) [China]
Iron Man 2 - G1 [Japan]
Sucker Punch

A lot of so-called grail or rare ones like Die Hard Korea share the same visuals as the Zavvi ones, so not that special in my book. If you think of some steelbooks with exclusive artworks that are difficult or almost impossible to find please come to my rescue. I'm drowning here :-)

After recently scanning through my SteelBook collection looking for those without spine titles, several others which are missing spine titles entirely - often substituted with small thumbnail images, or nothing at all!

SteelBooks missing titles include:

* Avengers Assemble (HMV exclusive) [UK] - Multiple thumbnails
* Frozen (Zavvi exclusive) [UK] - Thumbnail
* Monsters University (Zavvi exclusive) [UK] - Thumbnail
* The Lone Ranger (Zavvi exclusive) [UK] - Thumbnail
* The Man With The Iron Fists [UK] - Nothing
* Thor 2: The Dark World 3D (Zavvi exclusive) [UK] - Multiple thumbnails
it seems to occur with some SteelBook releases targeted at a wide variety of countries with different languages.

It Is quite prevalent in games too - many from FS (CA)
- Dead Rising 2 - Zombrex Ed (PS3/UK) [ on slip cover only]
- Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition (PC/US) [ on slip cover only]
- Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 (Zavvi - Generic G1)
- Little Big Planet (PS3/UK) [ on slip cover only]
- Gears of War Judgement (X360/CA)
- Halo 4 (x360/CA)
- Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm (PC/CA)
- Sleeping Dogs (CA)
- Dead Island: Rip Tide (unsure)
- MAG Collectors Ed (PS3/UK) [ on slip cover only]
- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (PS3/UK) [ on slip cover only]
- Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3/UK) [ on slip cover only

I have been tracking a lot of Japanese Steelbook editions. This is a sampling:

Jaws regularly sells for $500-$900 (!!) on eBay.
Salt sells for $150-$600. The last copy that sells for less than $100 is from a US seller.
2001 Space Odyssey sells for $320 on amazon.jp. On eBay: $475. Jeez, the thing is there are so many cheaper versions out there (UK versions sells for £25 on amazon.uk)
Apollo 13 sells for $284

Check out the rest:

It is what people are willing to spend to fuel a habit and complete a collection. I want iron man 1 and 2 and hulk from play.com. but I'm not spending 300 quid to get them. Unless i become a millionaire

If you look at the ones that have actually sold not what someone is asking for them then the prices are all a lot lower. There's only 10 over $100 and 8 of those are auctions for the Dark Knight films.

You should probably add Filmarena's first FAC As Above So Below to your list.
Only 100 numbered made, rare and really sought after.

One sold for $415 on eBay recently.

In the process of selling mind right now but it should be on top of this list! The only Steelbook in the pass 5 years to reach GRAIL STATUS! Without a doubt, right now, it's the most sought after Steelbook in the game!

Surely the original UK MOC release of Metropolis must be amongst the rare list.

I don't think there is any point in trying to make a ranked list of 1st rarest, 2nd rarest etc as what is the rarest will always be subjective. As I have mentioned before, Green Zone AUS is way harder to get hands on than Iron Man FS and John Rambo which you see on ebay all the time.

Below I have listed what are commonly refereed to as the rarest steelbooks/ironpack.

Angels & Demons (Canada)
Death Race (MM, DE) (Note: G2 version only)
Green Zone (AU)
Hellboy 2 (Fnac, FR) w/ booklet
Hellboy 2 (MM, DE)
I Am Legend (FS, CA) 1st issue with blue banner)
Inception Briefcase (Fnac, FR)
Independence Day (Ironpack, CH)-missing "I" due to misprint
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (FS, CA)
Inglourious Basterds (FS, CA)
Iron Man (FS, CA)
Iron Man (MM, DE)
John Rambo (Amazon.de, DE) with Tattoo
Moulin Rouge (Ironpack, CH)
Predators (Play.com, UK)
Pulp Fiction (FR)
Romeo & Juliet (Ironpack, CH)
Scott Pilgrim (UK)
Star Trek(Futureshop Exclusive, Canada)
Star Trek (Play.com, UK)
Star Wars Clone Wars (NL)
Sucker Punch (Comic Con Exclusive)-G1 (USA)
Terminator 2 (V2, JP)
The Dark Knight (Fnac, FR)
The Dark Knight-1st Release (Netherlands)
The Mist (TF1, FR)
The Mist (Germany)
The Town (Canada)
Transformers ROTF CA)
Wanted (DE) (Debossed version)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine FNAC Exclusive(France)
Zombieland (DE)
Hey all -

I have Iron Man (FS) sealed, Pulp Fiction (FR, TFI) sealed, Transformers ROTF (FS) open, Star Trek (FS) open, Inglorious Basterds (FS w/ Tags) open, I am Legend (FS) open.

i'm looking to sell my whole collection. I have to pay for my wedding.

Where do you think the best place to sell would be? eBay? Any price help?

Here's a pic of the Pulp Fiction - one of my favorites.
