Just thought I would join in and post some pictures of my favorites from my collection!
![]() Green Lantern #7 - 1st App. of Sinestro ![]() Iron Man #1 ![]() Amazing Spider Man #31 - 1st App. of Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborne ![]() Amazing Spider Man #59 - 1st App. of Mary Jane Watson on the cover. ![]() And my favorite... My Justice League #1! Yeah it's a low grade copy, but I'm a huge JL fan, so a copy in any grade is good enough for me. Plus, this copy was expensive enough as it is. ![]() ![]() Aquaman #12 - Robot Chicken Variant (Huge Robot Chicken and DC fan!) ![]() Walking Dead #100 - Chromium Wrap Around Cover. Some of them aren't worth a ton, but like I said, these are my favorites from my collection! ![]() EDIT: For some reason I can't get the pictures to show up. But if you right click you can open the image. Last edited by rhonnie.macrae; 04-17-2013 at 03:32 AM. |

Have over 75 Short Boxes, around 4 dozen TPBs, and a few magazine sized digests. The oldest is (Uncanny) X-Men #12 - 1st Juggernaut. Have a complete run of Uncanny X-Men from #200-500. The collection was over 100 Short Boxes, but I sold off a bunch of runs a few years ago when I ran out of storage at my old place. As it is now, the closet is almost full...
Started collecting when I was sixteen. Mom got me my first comic since I watched the Fox cartoon every Saturday. And then I had to get the next issue to know what happened, and being the 90s, there were crossovers galore and I had to get those to understand what was going on. And that is where my glorious decent into nerdom began. My mom still laughs about how she started it all. |

I have a Toys R Us double pack of X-Men: Onslaught and MU: Onslaught that came out during that timeframe...never opened, even the original packaging looks very crisp and clean. I'll get a pic of it at a later time, but I was always a HUGE X-Men fan, still am, so I followed much of the Kubert brothers, Joe Madureira, Jim Lee, Marc Silvestri, etc., and the like that helped make X-Men so popular in the 90's all the way through about the mid 2000's. Hadn't really collected any since

I have been very impressed with everyone collections that I thought that I would post mine. I collected some comics in the late 80s/early 90s but since I lived in a small town, there was never any consistency in collecting.
I really just started collecting about 3 years ago with IDW releasing the movie adaption of the 2009 Star Trek movie. Then, I started collecting Titan's short lived Torchwood series. After that, I started with IDW's Doctor Who when they started their 11th Doctor run (got some back issues of the Tenth Doctor but it is not complete). A couple of years ago, I thought that I would collect Superman and Spider-Man since the New 52 started and the "Avenging" line of Spidey. Earlier this year, I started a new job and stopped collecting Supes and Spidey and just focused on the trades for those two. I have not given up on Trek and Who though. Here are my three boxes for singles. The first has my Superman/Spider-Man until I stopped collecting. The second is all Doctor Who related. The third is all Star Trek. ![]() The top of my graphic novel shelf is actually just some odds and ends on the top. I keep my Toby McGuire Spider-Man DVDs in the Spidey lunch box even though that is for Andrew Garfield (they just fit in there perfectly). I have the Superman blu-ray set but cannot get rid of the DVD version. I just loved that set. The second shelf is where I keep my small Watchmen stuff, Ultimate Spider-Man (based on the television show), Scott Pilgrim, Tintin (I only have half of the collection), and the Dark Horse new graphic novels based on Avatar: The Last Airbender. ![]() The third shelf is where I keep my trades for IDW Star Trek and Doctor Who as well as newer Buffy The Vampire Slayer related stuff. There is few more Joss Whedon stuff, a couple of Fringe trades, and two Walking Dead novels (I still have not read them and most people jaws just drop). The fourth shelf is for Spider-Man. I have a couple of collections but started collecting from "Brand New Day" as a starting point. I am trying to collect them all. I also have my Ultimate Spider-Man collection up to date. ![]() The fifth shelf is dedicated to Superman. I just have some random stories. I do have the Superman/Batman series and getting the trades for The New 52. I then have my stuff related to Superman Returns and Man of Steel. The sixth shelf is different reference books that I have collected mainly about Superman and Spider-Man or just DC and Marvel in general. ![]() And, this is not comics, but this my DVD shelf next to my trade collection...fits into the theme (anything blu-ray related is with my blu-ray collection). ![]() |

Some cool stuff, I used to have a ton of comics but I quit buying issues about 15 years ago. I still buy an occasional trade or something if it looks interesting. As for all the single issues I gave them to my cousins two boys last year for Christmas, they were blown away and my cousin and her husband wanted to kill me. So it served two purposes.
