Default The Annotated Sandman by Neil Gaiman

I ordered Vol.1 from B&N recently can't wait to finally read this

How many volumes are there?
Is this the best version to buy?

How awesome is it? I started with his books and love them and don't read comics unless manga which is from Japan so would it be even better than his books or about the same?

Don't know how many are out, but I'm sure it has to be awesome. lol I can't buy it, as I've already got all the original issues as well as the over-sized Absolute editions. But an annotated would be fantastic since they're so chock-full of literary reference. There really is no "best" version, only what your preferences would like most. Sandman is one of the best written series ever...the first comic to hit the NY Times bestseller list.

There are a couple of manga Sandman related stories...just thought you'd like to know:

They're over-sized and have been recolored...on much better paper...hardcovers with slipcases. Really nice too.
