Anyhow I’ve found the post where it was mentioned, not sure how I missed it.
Only noticed the extras today when I see the boxset had dropped to £12.99.
I think maybe it was XanderAE.

I wish they had just upgraded all three. I bought them even cheaper than they are now and wouldn’t mind buying them again €12.99 but they other two are obviously going to get relisted too.

Hi guys,

I don’t believe any of the LOTR films in the UK or IE stores will be relisted in future. Originally Two Towers (plus extras) was a UK/IE exclusive version (different iTunes ID to US version, but same extras), while Fellowship and Return were the same (same ID as US, same extras).

TT was then reissued with no extras (same ID as US, just without the extras), the old version was removed. This meant that all three now matched the US. The extras were then added for TT, which included the commentaries etc. No sign of extras update for the other two as yet.

With the Hobbit trilogy, I fear Unexpected Journey may get reissued it future, as while Desolation and Battle both match the US store version iTunes IDs, Unexpected does not. This is a unique UK/IE version again, with different ID.

I can remember now you telling me that Two Towers movie itself was different in the stores but it is only registering with me now.

I was busy at work and running on very little sleep so I was dafter normal. I actually went and bought the 6 movie set after posting here that I wouldn’t. And then got refund when because I worried The Hobbit would just relist later (and I bet you had already posted that it would back at the time.)

What is the difference between the movies? Are we losing something or the the US gaining something?

I just spotted your signature (I think that is what it is called) - did not know the Synder Cut was announced and honestly I would have wagered heavily against such a thing ever happening.

I want it just didn’t think it was going to happen

Thanks for the good news again.

From what I’ve read all the work seems to be post production but didn’t Snyder have to leave the movie while it was still in principal photography?

Haha no worries, right there with you on the topic of little sleep! My wife and I fitting 15 hours worth of work into one day along, with full cover for our three-year-old, is really taking its toll!

As far as I can tell, there is no difference between US and UK with regards to An Unexpected Journey - film and extras are identical. But it is sometimes the case that local distributor offices will upload a local version instead of utilising the same international version, where a different cut isn't applicable. These films are the ones we have had and will continue to have trouble with updating to 4K in future.

I believe principal photography on Zack Znyder's Justice League was complete, except for what I understand to be one or two additional scenes he wanted to include (one involving Martian Manhunter).

Junkie XL's score was complete, but some VFX and some ADR were not.

According to the THR article on the topic, he has a budget of $20-30m to finish it. It is assumed this includes potentially converting the cut to a miniseries instead/as well, made up of 6 x 35 minute episodes.

It sounds like you and you wife are what is called the frontline or work elsewhere that is necessary to keep the world ticking. Much thanks.

Well there is no rush on getting the Hobbit trilogy right now so since one of them will most likely change.

I should have held out on the Lord of the Rings as I knew I wouldn’t get to watch for a long time but sooner or later they’ll drop in price individually and I can get the new Two Towers.

I’ve learned a bit of restraint in the last view weeks in regards to splashing out on sales. I have a large library (currently not getting to watch anything) so anything on sale now will eventually be on sale again.

I didn’t really follow the whole Justice League behind the scenes stuff at the time so I’m assuming the reshoots and the moustache debacle were the result of Whedon altering the story or such.

I find that very strange - if the film had finished shooting and all that money had been spent them why didn’t Whedon just take charge of post production. Did WB want him to make a different movie out of it?

I know the movie upsets a lot of people but I think the story and characters are very enjoyable. Not epic enough and not enough introduction for the characters who are their first outing and not remotely enough Superman. And some peculiarly bad VFX - which I know is the studios fault as I know someone who works in one of the VFX companies who told me as much as she was allowed about it.

Looking forward to this new cut though as it will be than just enjoyable. And have finished VFX.

I’m guessing it will be a long while after it goes on TV before we see it being made available to buy. If it done as a miniseries I hope it when it goes on iTunes that it will be as a movie though.

I emailed Sony about a few movies last week including the extras for Lawrence of Arabia but nothing has changed in the others so I wonder if this update was happening anyway or if other people contacted then too.

We should start a thread to post about problems like missing extras, movies being rental only or missing, etc.

When one of encounters a problem we post the movie title, the issue and what store it is along with the contact details for the distributor.

Anyone can message the customer support (even if they are not interested in the problem) and then give the post a thumbs up. This way we can see how many people it takes to solve the problem.

We don't even need to be customers of that particular store - the distributor would not know and it would mean folks here who would otherwise be emailing on their own can get some assistance in making waves.

Does your Lawrence of Arabia have a commentary track?

Or are you just posting here as it is an Extras related thread?

Just posting as it’s an Extras related thread, wasn’t sure where else to post it.
Here’s another, Rambo Last Blood now has the Extended Cut as an Extra.

I can confirm that out of the 3 Thor films -
Thor and Thor: The Dark World - do not have audio commentaries on either iTunes or MA
Thor Ragnarok has audio commentary on iTunes but not MA

I think all the post Age of Ultron movies have commentaries.

Except the two Spider-Mans.

I think Guardians of the Galaxy is the only movie before Ultron with a commentary.

Any issues for those staying on Mojave in accessing content? Does Apple predicate access to some content on being on Catalina?
