Who Could Play "The Flash"? - Blu-ray Forum

According to ThinkMcFlyThink, Scott Porter is rumored to star in the new superhero film, but this has yet to be confirmed by the studio.

Porter is most famous for playing Jason Street in "Friday Night Lights," but also had roles in "Speed Racer" and "Prom Night," and was rumored to be play Superman in "Justice League of America."

Dan Mazeau is currently onboard to write the script. Apparently, his "Jonny Quest" screenplay impressed Warner Bros so much that the studio decided to give Mazeau a crack at "The Flash."

Do you think Porter can do a better job than the previously rumored Ryan Reynolds?

To keep things in line with Justice League Movie agendas, we can assume Warner will keep the canon as faux-Spidey "Wisecracking Flash" that the CN Justice League cartoon didn't know what else to do with?

If they are doing a young Flash, you vote goes to Brett Harrison from the shows "Reaper" and "The Loop". He is a pretty funny guy and seems like a good fix for the Flash.

Yea, I think Ryan Reynolds could do a good Flash. He definitely has the physique for it so they won't have to pad his suit. I think it would be pretty cool with him as Flash.

What about the guy who played Aquaman in a couple episodes of Smallville?
He did a cool job and I was surprised Smallville didn't do more with that character. I think he would be a great Flash.

It wasnt even going to be Reynolds. Adam Brody was offered the part. Adam Brody would make a good Flash too.

It depends on which Flash they use. Wally West has always been shown with slightly red hair. Barry Allen, the Flash they should use, is blond. The movie could be awesome if they have the Flash face off with Professor Zoom, also known as the Reverse Flash.

I liked Ryan Reynolds as the Wally West Flash. That's the version they were originally planning to use. Now, however, I'd bet money that they'll use Barry Allen instead. While that greatly disappoints me (I'm a Wally guy by far. It's not even close!), I'd still see the movie. But Ryan Reynolds as Barry Allen? I just don't see it personally. I'm not exactly sure who I'd cast as Barry Allen. I'd have to give it some thought. Nobody too young though. Early 30s at the youngest.

Agree. Barry Allen would be my choice against Professor Zoom. As far as actor, anyone that would fit the role. The main thing is the story line beyond the origin.
