Default Recommendation for 65" 3D TV with Dolby Vision (LG)

Hey guys. I know every manufacturer has ceased with 3D, but I still love it. I had a 55" LG from years ago, and recently purchased an open-box 55UH6500 from Frys, which has an annoying blue dot in the middle, likely from surface damage. I got them down to $575, but still want more.

Other than the annoying blue dot, and some crosstalk issues, the 55UH6500 is pretty awesome.

I have been researching the 65" LGs that still exist, most of which are not easy to find. Still on the fence about OLED, and I can deal with the shortcomings of LCD local dimming, etc.

I would like a 65" 3D 4K TV, that supports Dolby Vision and HDR.

I also have my like 5th 3D projector, which is pretty great, but obviously needs a fully darkened room for the best experience, which isn't always optimal.

It's truly disappointing they all stopped making 3D TVs now, as with 4K and passive, it's pretty much perfect, and movies certainly look 4K to my eyes (no more dumbing down the resolution on 3D blu-rays).

And it seems if I do find any of the older models, for a decent price, they're only available at those scammy east coast places that will cancel your order, and attempt to up-sell you to a new model, as the one you're trying to buy is from some other country, or doesn't come with something essential.

Any advice or direction is appreciated.

Your options are dwindling by the day. You may want to search Amazon and eBay for used or new models of the TVs listed on this page:

Robert Zohn at Value Electronics (a well-known and respected LG dealer) appears to have the 65UH9500 in stock, but it's not cheap.

Thanks for the replies. I already have my 5th DLP projector, which is great. I see that Value Electronics has the 65UH9500, but seems pretty expensive for an almost 2 year old piece of tech!

The LG rep said they may bring back 3D for 2018, due to demand, so we'll see I suppose.

If anyone knows any reliable vendors for the 8500 or 9500, please advise. So many east coast bait-and-switch companies out there...

Wait... who said this? I think we're all hoping that they bring it back, but the odds seem very slim.

It was just the chat guy on the site, so who knows.

Man these things are actually pretty hard to find. Just a couple of months ago, they seemed to be everywhere...
