Default LG55ec9300

I came across someone wanting to sell one of these older LG 55ec9300 1080P 3D OLEDs on Offerup but they are asking for $1,000. I can't imagine paying that much as I've seen OLED55C6P models selling for that amount. Just wondering what would be a fair price on this older model. They said the manufacture date was Jan 2015. I'm not sure if LG started making the 55EG9100 1080p 3D models soon afterwards or before that model but I've seen them sell for cheaper. Thanks for any input.

I'm not really after this for the 3D aspect. Just want a newer TV for in the bedroom and I know these 1080p OLEDS do look great. Figured if I could get it for a good price I'd go for it but just want to make sure I give them an honest/fair offer.

I currently have a 55EC9300 in my bedroom. I love it, but I haven't watched any 3D content on it at all since moving it to the bedroom. I've been thinking of selling it but I'm not sure what a good asking price would be. I've seen 55" C6 OLEDs sell on eBay for upwards of $2,000, so I was thinking $900 to $1000 would be a fair price for the EC9300.

Also, my manufacture date is January 2015. I purchased the set the following month (Feb. 2015). I think the EG9100 replaced it sometime in late spring/early summer 2015. If I recall correctly, the EG9100 shares an identical panel with the EC9300. Only difference is the design. Personally, I prefer the looks of the EC9300. It has a sturdy metal stand and a black back. The EG9100 has a white back and the stand is simply plastic with a metallic paint finish.

There’s 2 or 3 people within 200 miles of me selling OLED55C6P models for $900 $1000 and $1100. So for that price range I’d go for that over any old 1080p. That’s why I figured they had it way overpriced since they want the same as 3 people selling the 4K/3D model.

Interesting. They obviously don’t know/care about the rarity of 3D OLEDs. If you can pick up a C6 for $1000 or less, I would jump on it. But again, how often will you be watching 3D content in your bedroom? You might be better off future-proofing with a 2017 or 2018 model for a few hundred dollars more.

On the other hand, it’s nice to have a back-up 3D OLED in case something happens to your main TV.

The only prices I can find for them when new was at Best Buy and they were clearancing them out at $432.73.

I guess I can make them an offer based off of that but I also would need to rent a truck so that would add anywhere between $50 to $100 to the price. I'll send them these pictures and see what they think.

Let me know how it goes! I find it hard to believe Best Buy was selling the TV for $430. If that's true, they likely only sold a handful of remaining units at that price to make way for the newer EG9100. Or maybe that price was for open-box/display units they were trying to sell off.

I'd have to go back and look at my receipts, but I recall paying upwards of $2600 for the EC9300 in February 2015. And that was after using a 10% off coupon as well as some Best Buy rewards certificates.
