Worth noting that the 80-page book included in the set is just an excerpt from DK’s THE DISNEY BOOK, which has been in publication for a number of years and can be bought quite cheaply — just in case anyone wanted to make this the deciding factor of their purchase.

Very interesting. I wonder how they will handle The Black Cauldron, Make Mine Music and Fun and Fancy Free - the three WDAS movies that still haven't been released on blu-ray yet. I wonder if they will finally debut, or if the blu-ray set will just have DVDs for those three??

This is the exact same boxset that’s been issued in the UK twice already. In both cases those three movies (as well as Three Caballeros / Saludos Amigos) were all included as DVD only. Can’t imagine it being any different here.

For example, "Tinkerbell and the Secret of the Wings" got DTS-HD MA tracks in both USA and the UK yet we got DD 5.1.
For Secret of the Wings it's simply a mistake on the packaging. I own the Australian Blu-rays for all the Tinker Bell movies and while the case packaging/sleeve says Dolby Digital 5.1 for Secret of the Wings when you look at the Blu-ray's menu and even play the movie they both say DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio.

It was the same for Mulan and Pixar Short Films Volume 2, they said DTS 5.1 and DD 5.1 respectively but both have DTS HD Master Audio as they should.

As far as I'm aware of the only Disney Australian Blu-rays to have inferior audio to the U.S or UK releases are Wreck it Ralph (DTS HD 5.1), Maleficent (DTS 5.1), Planes 2 (DTS 5.1) and Doctor Strange (DTS HD 5.1 HR).

Wreck it Ralph's is silly but tbh most people don't have 7.1 speakers for it to matter anyway. Maleficent, Planes 2 and Doctor Strange are all issues tho, I went ahead and brought them all from the UK as a result.

Funnily enough it's the first official DVD releases of Make Mine Music and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad in Australia.
