"Mr. Worf . . . fire."

That cliffhanger really wowed 11-year-old me and my friends and kept us in suspense all summer. Seen some good cliffhangers since, but none have beat that one for me.

This.

And even though it was only a one week cliffhanger, episode 4, season 1 of True Detective. Probably the single greatest episode of television ever.

The last episode of The Glades. It was supposed to get another season so they ended it on a cliffhanger. Extra season didn't happen.

Yes, I'd go with this too. Although, honourable mention for THE COLBYS - having one of your main characters (Fallon) whisked away by a UFO in the final scene was epic trolling of the highest order!

I second this. To me, the show deserved a conclusion. My only regret is not discovering the show until two years after it ended. My interest in the young man who plays Jeff is how I was introduced to the show.

God bless you and him and the rest of the cast always!!!

How about Jericho, one of the few if only shows that were cancelled and brought back for another season due to fan demand.

The Season 3 finale of Babylon 5.
The only correct answer.

My other favourites:

Star Trek: Voyager - The Basics, Part 1
Lois & Clark - Meet John Doe (the conclusion was a let down, however).
Millennium - Paper Dove
Dark Angel - …and Jesus Brought a Casserole
Farscape - Die Me, Dichotomy
Melrose Place - The Big Bang Theory
Roswell - Panacea

Was perfection the way it ended, and then Lynch managed to make another great ending to the series, that didn't spoil that one either.

Really loved Jericho, definitely a show that deserved at least another season.

The Colbys (5/6) Fallon Boards a UFO (1985) - YouTube
talked with John James about this "cliffhanger". To bad they never picked up this idea but I think it was only a dream of Fallon respektive an Aneurysm which she got in Dynasty during the De Vilbis era where she run into a car.
