The Art and Making Of Alien: Covenant Cover Art!

[Show spoiler]

Quote:
“Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. A beautifully lavish art book celebrates the vision behind the movie. Sumptuous artwork and behind-the-scenes photography reveal the design and development of the movie, including interior sets, outdoor shooting locations, technology – and of course, the Aliens themselves.”

Could be as FOX has two spots one is for "A cure for Wellness" the other either Logan, or Covenant. It's anyone's guess at this moment.

Love the eye sockets and nose hole in that xenomorph design. Eerily human-like.

That is the Neomorph (backburster), possibly adult.

Giving it human facial characteristics makes it even more creepy imo.

Has it been verified that this is the final Neomorph design? It looks a little more mechanical than I thought. I thought the creatures in this were less bioweapon design? Looks like it could just be a work in progress artwork?

Recording Starts on Alien: Covenantís Score!!

Quote:
Recording starts on Alien: Covenantís score. While Sir Ridley Scott is busy editing Alien: Covenant and the effects companies are working on the visual effects, Jed Kurzelís score for Alien: Covenant went in front of the microphones today.

To celebrate the first day of recording the score, Alien: Covenantís music editor Tony Lewis shared these images from the studio.

ďAlien: Covenant scoring day 1. Massive and scary as hell. Run.Ē

Composing duties on Alien: Covenant are being filled by Jed Kurzel after Harry Gregson-William vacated the role. Kurzel hasnít worked with Scott before but he did recently score Michael Fassbenderís Assassinís Creed.

What did you think of the one from Resurrection? Kinda goofy but still creepy imo.

Can't wait to see Covenant. Definitely more horror this time from the look of that trailer. One thing that concerns me is there may not be a 3D option, being a fan of medium to strong 3D movies. The first trailer didn't mention anything about a 3D version. Prometheus was filmed in 3D, and while there were mild shots of 3D layers, Ridley Scott balanced it out with some medium to strong 3D also.

Just glad David and Noomi Rapace will make a cameo of some kind in this one. Hopefully it tells what happened next, though I imagine it's not good for her character.

If they created a fancy art book for this I think that's a good sign the filmmakers actually care about cranking out a worthy Alien film. Worthy to the original '79 film, that is. I think I actually want to purchase a copy of that book. As for the film, I'm hoping for a truly epic game-changing experience. That didn't happen with Prometheus although I gotta say the film has really grown on me lately. But "Covenant" really needs to be a true game-changer. If this fails I'm really going to consider dropping going to the movies altogether. I haven't been excited by a film in ages and I REALLY have to think twice to venture out these days.

There was a "fancy" art book for Prometheus, too.
