The moment selective memory removal hits the market, this will be top of my erase list (followed by Prometheus, Indy 4, everything Star Wars post-'83 and Phase 4...oh and that ass-to-mouth centipede flick).

That could've been cool, yes. I didn't see any of her cut footage in the deleted scenes sadly on the disc.

It would have been better embracing the ending of Prometheus and going ahead with that. it could have been the most daring big budget sci fi movie ever, taking place on the home world of the Engineers with just Shaw and David as the "human" characters.
That's what I was hoping for too with Covenant. That could've been great to see Shaw as the hero character for the whole film. I was a fan of her role in Prometheus. She was mostly smart, and figured out how to save herself a few times. The
[Show spoiler]tentacle baby extraction
scene was the highlight of the film.

Covenant thankfully did show what happened when they landed sort of,
[Show spoiler]but then David killed off Shaw and the Engineers
as soon as they arrived... As he began planning his next sinister steps to wipe out mankind; Androids with free will. Though any human could've attempted what he did I suppose.

I can’t pick a favourite frankly.
That's true, one being mostly pure horror, two being action horror, depending on your preference. Then Prometheus being a parasite infection sci fi planet history exploration film of sorts.

That and the fact they are different genres.
Apples and oranges, difficult to compare

I will probably still be watching them in 16k holograms 15 years from now!

That could be cool to see. They'll have to convert the 2D into 3D to give the holograms more dimension. Then it'll be like Weyland Industries' leader, Peter Weyland, when he projected his hologram image to the scientists in Prometheus, while his dog walked into frame briefly.

Yeah but the 24ks in 20 years will be far less glitchy, though completely non backwards compatible.

I’m hoping for a Jennifer Lawrence hologram as my assistant.

I can imagine she might eventually play a role in a future Alien film. Maybe as a new hero character.

Alien: Covenant is the definition of underrated. It's still great 5 years later! It's a shame we might never get a proper sequel to it.

Yeah, I said it!

Is Homer trying to find a good version of Alien: Covenant in those bushes?

Looks like Homer’s distancing himself from your comment.
