Thanks
Here are some good starting points, using something like Disney WOW's advanced brightness pattern would help ensure your brightness in non HDR modes are correct:

Display Mode: ISF Bright ISF Dark HDR Standard
Backlight: 100 35 100
Contrast: 80 80 100
Brightness: 51 52 51
Sharpness: 10 10 10
Color: 50 50 54
Tint: 0 0 0
Gamma: 2.2 BT.1886
Temperature: Warm2 Warm2 Warm2

ISF Dark 35 OLED Light is 150 nits, I think on re-cal I will have them go up to 40, maybe a little more. I use my ISF Dark all the time for SDR.

When you refer to disney's WOW, you just mean the settings menu that is available on some Disney titles that help you adjust brightness, contrast, etc.?

Here is the actual WOW disc: http://movies.disney.com/disney-wow-world-of-wonder

I'm just wondering if the same settings menus are available on some Disney releases.

What Shield is not telling us is that between those two extremes there is a middle ground where picture will look nitvas detailed as pic 2 but not as crushed as pic 1

Settings in pic 2 may seem optimal on that specific content. But once you start flipping channels you soon realize they dont do as good a job across all different sources.
Pic 1 is too crushed. But there are settings that fall un between pic 1 and 2 that suit ALL sources

Before that, and still you have crush in the picture.when she walks in to the house, opening the door, you lose some of the window on the right side, that picture is inside the house..but what ever i say you still think you have the best shadow details anyway.

But is the way of not experince real calibration and LCD tvs.

Our B6 has arrived and is set-up! Looks AMAZING!!!! Tested the picture with The Force Awakens, Millenium Falcon takes flight scene...

WOW WOW WOW!!!!

I have not done any tweaks yet with the settings, but going from 40" to 55" is amazing, it's like being in the theater. But the picture itself is so life-like. So happy right now yaaaayyyyy!!!

My wife is the best what can I say!

I tried default settings on that screen shot, bt.1886 and 2.2 and I can clearly see how green makes shadows look more fake and not as deep.
It's ok to lose some small amount of detail-not much though-and have settings that now work on all sources

That's fine, but it is not not 1 settings works for all ,Tv will need different brightness etc, same goes for Netflix and blu ray.

And You default settings is more accurate then you can set by your eyes.

When lowering green -25 2pt you need to raise brightness again to get more details again, because 2pt low affects gamma.

So 2pt low when adding you are raising brightness, lowering 2pt you are lowering brightness.

if you reduce 2 point low (especially green), that will cause you to need to raise brightness from the default of 50 to whatever it takes to offset the amount of low you subtracted

And after low green -25 you then correcting the impact by calibrating the grayscale

congrats!!

perhaps you can post a few screen shots sometime

also check out INTERSTELLAR on blu ray if you have it. I do not have an OLED but the Imax scenes are stunning on my Panny plasma and it is my video reference disc.
