Default Turntable/Receiver/Amplifier setup

Forgive my ignorance but I am having issues getting my turntable to work properly.

I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable, Emotiva USP 1 amplifier and Emotiva XMC-1. How should I set my cables up?

Thank you. I really appreciate any help

1st RCA out from turntable to Phono input on the pre-amp

2nd RCA out from pre-amp to any available input in receiver - doesn't hugely matter which one, as long as it's not a switchable one that's already assigned to a digital input.

Also if there's a grounding wire on the turntable, attach that to a screw in the back of the pre-amp. Also ensure to check the pre-amp's DC adaptor to make sure it's set to the correct voltage if it's adjustable type.
