I'm not familiar with this album, but it depends on the release. When comparing on eBay or anywhere else, make sure you are comparing apples to apples. In other words...check the Catalog #, the label (and perhaps colour thereof), year of release (original or rerelease?), etc, etc, etc,....there are many factors to consider.

They only pressed 1,000 (some say 5,000) copies of Dave Matthews Band's "Before These Crowded Streets" and it's the only thing ever released by them on vinyl.

This auction still has 4 days+ left and it's already at US$251.

I have both cover releases of the original Blind Faith.
A sealed original Rock of the Westies.
My favorite - Pete Townsend & Ronnie Lane's Rough Mix.
And I'm not sure, but I would have to think that finding the entire catalog of Be Bop Deluxe would be tough these days. Thankfully I have them all (although Modern Music seems to be curiously missing from my collection). Going to have to query some of my old "friends" concerning its whereabouts.

I'm just thinking we could probably start a whole new thread on lp's that you lent to someone who never gave it back. I'll start with my personal heartbreaker. I lent an original Genesis Live (their first) to a bud who soon after disappeared. Also an original Lee Oskar album vanished too.

Well, ever from the time I bought it in 1970, I found the original 1969 David Bowie (Later to be called "Space Oddity") a very priceless buy. Nowadays it easily sells for around € 200,-- in Europe. But I'm not selling mine!

Jeff Mills - Condor to Mollorca (Ishii rmx)/Alarms (Sims rmx)/Thoughts of Phutura (C. Young). Ltd 100 copies each. $100-200. I have both the first and second pressings. The second pressing are also limited to 100, but go for less.

Kenny Larkin - Azimuth LP w/ limited 7" $100-200 (One of my favorite techno LPs)

Robert Hood - Minimal Nation (Axis pressing) $75-100

There aren't a ton of them, but they do crop up from time to time. It's not like I went out and bought it or anything... most of the copies in circulation were issued with a giant sticker that covered the original butcher photo with the more toned down "Yesterday and Today" cover that has been used ever since. Capitol even issued a recall for the few uncovered copies that got out.

My copy is one of the aforementioned sticker versions. My Mom bought the album in 1966 and carefully removed the sticker... it looks perfect!

That's what I kinda thought. I almost dropped my jaw at the thought of someone actually owning a copy of one of the first cover printings. No doubt however, the "stickered" is still a prized posession I'm sure. Congrats! As an aside, it's possible that the sticker removal may have reduced the value of your copy however, but hey...it's not always about that is it?

When I emigrated to States I had to divest myself of a the vast majority of my vinyl. Of the albums that I kept (which are safely boarded with my brother's collection in the UK) I'm guessing that a signed copy of Big Country's Buffalo Skinners is probably the most valuable, if for no other reason than the sad demise of Stuart Adamson. It may not be worth that much from a $ but I'll treasure the day I got to shake Stu's hand.
