Originally this was another planned blu-ray so I'm extremely happy they decided to go UHD instead. I already own enough blu-rays releases.

Quickly scanned through Convoy Busters and I'm looking forward to getting my fix of Merli slapping hoodlums around.

Watched The Convoy Busters and I thought it looked really good. A very nice organic transfer. Also watched Blood and Diamonds from 88 Films and while it looked decent, it didn't look nearly as good as Convoy Busters. Overall, a solid release.

I ordered the latter during the recent 88 Films sale. I still need to order The Convoy Busters and Shanghai Joe.

Just ordered Shanghai Joe and Convoy Busters from Diabolik. Neither of these I wanted badly but they both sound entertaining and I want to support these guys. Never going to buy any of the modern films, though. I'm only impressed with a new film something like 5% of the time.

I'm sorta interested in Frankenstein '80 but I'll preorder that one closer to release date.

It does have a reversible sleeve, but it's not the poster art I see on IMDB but something else.

I have the Eurocrime box set, too, although I haven't gotten around to watching it. I'd forgotten that The Convoy Busters was in it.

It's pretty similar to the Eurocrime (Koch Media) version from what I can tell, although the colors seem slightly better on the Cauldron at times. It was worth getting for the English subs alone so I can watch it in Italian (still haven't seen it yet).

It seems like the Cauldron release looks slightly better in close-up. Mid-shots look pretty much identical. The Italian track having English subs is a selling point. I hope they aren't dubtitles.

I like how action-packed the alternative artwork looks: a muscular Merli in ripped shirt wielding a shotgun, a logging truck ramming through a road block sign - none of which is in the movie. Lol. But, hey, at least they didn't forget to show Merli's trademark machismo - beetchslapping!
